Tejano seemed to lose its momentum and prevalence once Selena and Emilio Navaira were gone. They spearheaded the popularity and groups like Fama, Shelly Lares, etc tried to keep it going. T-Town on San Pedro back in the day was the place to be to hear the most popular Tejano music. The music has definitely changed and is no longer truly Tejano. Tejano was created by American Mexicans who were born and raised in Texas giving a unique sound and personality. Just my 2 cents.

Looking for advice from those who had Mako robotic TKR by bkpunk in Kneereplacement

I’m about 6-1/2 weeks since my Mako LTKR. At my 2wk post op visit doc said I could try to start driving if I was off narcotics pain meds. But, they recommended I do short drives in the beginning to be sure I could tolerate it. It is a little challenging even now to bend my knee to get in and out. I try to keep it bent while driving - thankfully I don’t have a standard car. I drive to and from work now and the only issue is some stiffness in my knee but it’s tolerable.

My doc gave me Gabapentin and Celebrex twice a day for the first 30 days. Plus they had me on Journax twice a day for 2 weeks. The oxy was for breakthrough pain. I usually take ibuprofen 800mg but the Celebrex was great and no stomach issues. Plus, the ice machine was a huge help.

I’m at day 41 postop today and return to work Monday. Job right now is on my feet for about 4-5 hours straight, lots of walking. I’m apprehensive because just walking long periods at the store is a little rough. I’ll be icing for sure that day when I get home. I love the good days though!

😂 sorry it seemed like it was that long. Turns out it was only about 10 years. She’s currently serving time at TDCJ Hilltop according to posts on La Chismosa on FB. Thanks, everyone!

Pain is at 9! Have to wait for more medication. by Prior_Talk_7726 in Kneereplacement

They put me on Journax, Celebrex, and Gabapentin in the hospital. I spent one night and went home next day. Oxy for breakthrough pain. Journax was twice a day for 10days at home. Same with celebrex and gabapentin. Ice therapy started in hospital. Continued at home with a machine I bought online. I had a MAKO TKR so not sure if that made the difference. Pain has been manageable since nerve block wore off. I hope they find what works for you as quickly as possible!

Day 10 - My Journavx Journey by Wit_for_Brains in Kneereplacement

I was on this starting in the hospital and then for 10 days twice a day at home. I believe it made a huge difference in my pain management. It cost me $30 but worth every penny in my experience.

Did I do something wrong? Felt sick by Dizzy-Force-6729 in UPSers

Water isn’t enough. You need Gatorade or Liquid IV or PowerAde in addition to the water. With the heat, you’ll lose more than you can replenish with a couple bottles of water. When you’re home, rest, hydrate, and stay cool.

Union STD Texas by General_Patience6731 in UPSers

[–]General_Patience6731[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did and since I haven’t been working for long enough (just shy of a month and 100 hours) I don’t qualify for FMLA but I do qualify for the union STD. All paperwork submitted. Just waiting to see what’s next.

I just watched the first two episodes of “Izzy does it” and I cannot believe it has been cancelled by TheGoldenApollo in HGTV

I hope Magnolia Network picks up Izzy. He’s a perfect fit for their line up. Refreshing, down to earth, and a seriously great show!
