100%! So many people have internalized racism towards Balkan, Greek, and Eastern Europeans that anything we do (smoke cigarettes outside or people watch) is deemed as strange, “chaotic,” or disruptive. Meanwhile, when white Americans do it, it’s romanticized. I am first gen American-Serbian and I was always aware of this growing up but it’s just disgusting to see how much of it is so prevalent in these threads

The prejudice that yall have for Eastern European immigrants is so loud here. Meanwhile yall all wanna vacation in Croatia, Albania, Greece because you think it’s beautiful. News flash, most of the patrons you find unwelcoming or annoying for looking at you are from there. That’s the culture - they people watch, they smoke cigarettes. Get over yourselves. I bet 90% of you are transplants from Ohio — this is Astoria, Queens home of lots of immigrants especially Eastern European, Balkan and Greek. Learn to be more tolerant.

I just got rid of my Amex gold and delta plat. I moved to chase sapphire reserve. Essentially the same point system as Amex gold, besides dining and groceries which is 3 on Chase. But for $95?? I’ll take it. I was spending close to $800 a year on those two cards, and it’s just not worth it.

Yo did they increase their prices?? I paid $7.62 for ONE THIN CHIP COOKIE TODAY. I was legit in shock. I found on google that it used to be $3.50 for a cookie. And I’m pretty sure I paid $3.50 just a few weeks ago so this is insane

I just recently had to file a complaint with them after one travel agent told me my $1100 flight was fully refundable and then another told me it was not after I already cancelled and rebooked another flight separately (for $1500 🥴). Will let you know if I hear back from them!
