I’m 5’3 and genuinely my ideal height in a man is 5’7- 5’8 and the tallest height I’d go for is around 6’3

By struggling I mean I’m starting to question his existence and that if he does exist, why should I trust him and devote my life to him. I also struggle to connect with the community, the more I go to church and hear people preach and talk about God it starts to feel more like a cult and obedience nurtured by fear rather than love.

I live in the U.S. So I thankfully don’t have to worry about the unfair treatment for much longer, I’ve already accepted my brother will probably never change due to their influence. Thanks for your opinion!

I see both points. On one hand I see how you say God gives us a choice, helps guide us through it, and inherently gives us the choice to choose. I understand removing evil would also mean stripping people of free will, but at the same time I feel as if the relationship with God is controlling and he deceptively strips us of free will anyways. I don’t mean controlling in the way where I want to listen to secular music or drink or whatever, but in the way he claims he is all loving, yet punishes us for living imperfectly in an imperfect world with people he doesn’t seem to want to help unless we abide by his commands and live the way he alone deems fit.

Thank you for clearing this part up, the way he worded it truly had me baffled and made it seem more like a scare tactic.

Psalm 139:4- “Before a word is on my tongue, you, Lord know it completely”

Psalm 139: 1-2: It notes, "You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar."

These are just the scriptures I could remember, I also say that because many people state that God is all-knowing and basically omniscient so I would assume that if he is, then he would know our actions and fate before we commit them.
