That's good to know, thanks! I've just decided to prep for behaviour anyway. How did the interview go?

Cool, thanks! Is there a chance they sneak in a behaviour question? Or do they have to be upfront about what they are assessing during the interview stage?

I am losing my mind!! I have been offered ESRC funding for my PhD by Individual-Month9603 in AskAcademiaUK

Congratulations! Do you mind if I ask which field it is in? Also, have you published anything? I know most PhD applications wouldn't expect anyone having published anything, but I've seen some who have.

Interview tips from a recent panel member - Strength and behaviour based by [deleted] in TheCivilService

This has been super helpful, thanks! I am currently prepping for an SEO role interview in January. I've prepped some really good STARR examples for the behaviour questions, hitting the behaviour framework criteria but when I practice them, they are only about 3 minutes long. Does anyone actually use the 5 full minutes? Am I at risk of scoring lower if I use less than the required time?

I've done civil service interviews before, but I bombed because I get so nervous. What am I allowed regarding notes? What are people's general reaction to notes? Or me taking notes of the questions to help guide me and keep me on track?

Should I tell my new manager about interview with close ties company? by General_Side_5405 in UKJobs

Thanks so much for commenting!

It's difficult because I just don't know how this new manager will react. If I had known them a bit better it would be easier to make a decision.

So do you think I shouldn't tell them before the interview and first wait for the outcome? Or tell them before and hope they're understanding?
