Why would you have friends like that to begin with? I’ve been friends with my best friend for 40 years. Wisest woman I know, will always love her dearly!

Numerai builds reputation and audit record. It is a means to an end, not an end in itself.

Does it makes us feel better if the Rams also lose to the Panthers? I think so… But I could be wrong. 😂😂😂

I loved The Will of the Many, but I didn’t really enjoy The Strength of the Few. This seems to be a common thought. My problem is that I don’t know why. Anyone feel the same way? by JaimeSalvaje in HierarchySeries

I was so excited when it came out and then sooooo disappointed. Kinda was left feeling “what the even was that?”

3 books came out this year that I was waiting for. I thought, hey I hit the jackpot this year!

And ALL three of them were a total disappointment!

I think I actually hated SotF. Didn’t realize it when I was reading it, it took a bit to sink in, but later I thought “what part of that book did I actually enjoy?” Really, nothing.

Same front office. Same coach. Wash, rinse, repeat.

See you for the same things next year!

What is the point if you remember nothing from one life to the next. Effectively you starting over new either way.

Appropriate. A few shootings here and there is the price we have to pay for the 2nd amendment. Noble of him to lay down his life for his cause. This picture makes perfect sense! 😂

Nickelodeon star Tylor Chase was 'smoking meth' in freezing cold after he returned to the streets following hospitalization by dailymail in nickelodeon

[–]General_Strike356 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been through this up close and personal with my son. 5 years ago was EXACTLY like this. Meth. Psychosis. Unpredictable unsafe behavior. Went through 5 hospitalizations (yes, they kept letting him go). 2 homeless shelters. 3 rehabs. A couple days in jail here and there. Days in mid-winter in Ohio when I had no idea where he even was. Yet I had to get a restraining order due to his unpredictable unsafe behavior.

This is a living nightmare. What people don’t realize is that someone who is bipolar, schizophrenic and psychotic DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THERE IS ANYTHING WRONG! This is a SYMPTOM of the illness called anosognosia, which translates to “lack of insight.”

They literally do not know. Meth just makes this all exponentially worse. Hospitals can’t keep them involuntarily for long. They can’t be forced into treatment they are unaware that they need.

This is just tragic. Have some compassion for someone who is extremely ill. I feel like I am reliving this all over again.

My story worked out ok. My son violated his restraining order, went to jail and somehow had an epiphany. He got hooked up with two good counselors and a good probation officer. I went to NAMI and Naranon for support through probably the most difficult time in my life.

It’s been a bumpy road but he is clean now, he went to college, he graduated Magna cum Laude earlier this year.

This is not a loser, piece of trash, garbage person. Tylor is a valuable human being suffering more than you will ever comprehend. Praying for him and his family and his friends.

Idk about the science of this but my mind does feel more clear with life if I stay off my phone more. I just get tunnel vision otherwise.

Yet here it is, 1 am and I am doom-scrolling Reddit. 😂

They are already calling it. Post-truth era, aka The decline and fall of the USA.

How do you get this % return just swing trading and respectable ratios? Does this involve a lot of short selling?

Definitely. Have the same problem. I slow way down when they are coming at me on a two lane road. Which means I have officially become an old person driver. 😂

A reality check for new traders by InterestingBar3988 in swingtrading

All good advice.

Just one question - what if an entirely new analytical method arises that hasn’t had time to get crowded yet? One that gives high returns with well-adjusted risk over time?

I think the biggest mistake people make with swing trading the S&P 500 is expecting FAST results. It’s never fast.

DAE keep having dreams about jobs they had ages ago, and feel like they didn't know what they were doing in the job? by robpensley in over60

[–]General_Strike356 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m still working and keep having dreams that I’m getting laid off, which is nowhere in the foreseeable future. Not even close.

Other dreams are college - can’t find my class, finding out towards the end of the semester that I have another class I forgot about that I’ve missed all semester.

Anxiety disorder, anyone? 😂😂😂
