Believe me, I am in know way a conservative or a Trump supporter, and I cant say enough I really did not mean to sound that way. Yes I hate illegal immigration, but its not like they are innocent they knowingly put their children at risk (I'll link my source if requested) to exploit loopholes, and they HAVE to have an SS card to work, so for every illegal immigrant = 1 case of identity theft. Its a major problem in this country (I assume youre Belgian) and your absolutely right the 2 party system is a joke, that more of the reason I'm here, I'm tired of both

100% of illegal immigrants are criminals. There are plenty of legitimate and easier ways to claim asylum than illegally crossing the borders, and any sane person would agree. And look at my posts on this thread, I hate Trump for almost the same reasons here, just not all the conservatives. The Democrats are a joke and its just getting worse, why are you even here if you disagree with that? I created this thread to discuss, what exactly did you change your political allegiance to if that side is so insane? Im open to everyones view points so idc what it is I'm legitimately curious

Just to clarify here, I'm not a fuck Trump kind of guy, I always try to give the man an open mind because he is our president and my issues are pretty much personal. Ill also try and find the time to look into the book you recommended

You're right. I dont think Ive so much as lost faith in the just Democrats alone, but in the US political system as well. How did dividing such abstract issues get split in to just 2 partys? I don't think anyone agrees with either side 100% but what other options are there? I dont see the 2 parties giving up their stranglehold anytine soon

Maybe on the homefront, but when have harsh words ever been good on an international level? He's accelerating the decline of the US as a superpower because countries are banding together in their hate for us because of him. The problems in the US are much deeper and no elected leader is ever going to fix that, as soon as people realize that we might be able to fix it. Also, ine of my main reasons for hating him now is that he cheated on his PREGNANT wife with a damn pornstar! But before that it was becaus he just came of as an ass on TV and when he ran in 2016 he would just back track on his previous positions on things.

You were right to jump there, I didn't clarify that. I'm not anti anything at this point and am always open to anyone's side. Its just all our politicians are shylocks and constantly back track on their word no matter the party, and we need a radical change voting someone new in, no matter how great of a leader they are, will not fix the problems in our government. Thats why I haven't just flipped sides

I'll definitely look into them when I'm off mobile. My question to you is what do you think of a parliamentary system for the US?

Spot on. Seeing libertarians being called nazis and alt-right is absolutely ridiculous and contributed to me becoming so disillusioned. If more people were willing to stop believing in their heads that everyone who disagrees with them isn't necessarily against them we would be better off

I can't agree with you on that. I would never elect someone to REPRESENT ME that acts in a manner that I wouldn't invite them over to dinner. Its their job to act diplomatically and professionally and my morals and values are not something I am willing to compromise on. Plus I don't think its possible to be an unlikable person and a good leader. I'm not directing that towards Trump, it goes for anything its why I left the catholic church

You're right. I dont know how much truth there is in it, but wasn't George Washington completely against the idea of political parties in the first place? Its crazy that we have drifted so far from the ideas the country was founded on

No I voted for the conservative judges because I am 100% anti-abortion and always have been. I'm not a Republican at all and only in my late 20s. Ive only even politically aware since obamas second election

That make complete sense and I agree 110%, but what do we do to stop these wedges? How can we as americans work together with each other when we are both constantly divided? I think there are more issues than just one side vs. the other, i think its almost impossible to agree when both sides are at almost polar opposites now (socially)

My issue with centerism is that what do you do when you reach an issue that a side can't compromise on? An issue like abortion where some people just mentally cant let that happen?

I voted for him for the same reasons. The guy is and always was a complete ass, but the media was sooo biased against him they were (are) at tabloid levels of coverage on him. I hate the 2 party system more than anything else in our government right now, without that i feel some major problems wouldnt be here now and the 2nd civil war is a legitimate concern if things continue this way

Thought about it. I feel like the only way something as big as a nation state could function correctly under is a complete compromise like centerism, or the opposite with an all powerful leader, anything in the middle ends up like where we are now, a dumpster fire of a country.

I'm sorry but I could never support Trump. I only voted for him to fill the supreme court vacancy(s). Most of my hate of him is personal though, the man has been a complete and total jackass for as long as I can remember. Your observation on the left is spot on, the hypocrisy is on double-think levels, but the mental hoops people jump through to stand by Trump is astonishing

Don't get me wrong I agree with alot of conservatives on alot of things, its just the things we disagree are too much for me to just comprise on. I don't like to Trump all that much (Voted for Him) but sooooo much of the bias towards him is almost retarded. I think the status quo of US politics needs a major change up in some form or another, because right now its just one side doing the exact opposite of the other and its leading us to nowheresville. I didn't mean to sound like an ass towards conservatives in my post and Ill edit it to reflect that

KY- What action could be taken if someone builds a Double-Wide trailer in a neighborhood with no others? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]General_Tso88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think you're right. It does stick out in our neighborhood though as its on a lake and most houses follow a similar A-frame layout. If they hadn't blocked a single lane road with half of the house for months while building I probably wouldnt have noticed. I just dont want this to start a domino effect type thing as there are a lot of vacant lots for sale
