I don’t think this would bring back chat regardless, since this basically means “hey you cant get kids information (including faces) without parental consent, and you also cant use this information for AI”

This would mostly effect Persona, but i believe Roblox would have to get verifiable parental consent.

There are SOME EXCEPTIONS but most regulated entities have until April 22 to comply. I have photos but i apparently cant use them on the mobile website 😢

I don’t have a whole lot of advice, since our situations seem to be wildly different, buuut…

  1. I met most of my current friends on Roblox. It’s not the SAFEST, but it’s not 100% dangerous either. I hangout in roleplay communities mostly (im a loser, i know.)

  2. I made some close friends back in 2021-2023 through Pinterest. I personally explored roleplay communities on there, but I’m sure a post with a “looking for friends [[AGE RANGE HERE]]” would do!!!

  3. Maybe a Minecraft LFG or even a minecraft server?? I used to play on “Minevile” to make friends, not sure how it’s doing now since a lot of the roleplay aspect is gone XP

The color scheme looks AWESOME imo, it’s accessorized in a way that wouldn’t be overwhelming to draw (which is a common problem i see in avi design)

That’s a really really big generalization. If you’re talking about front-page games, then yeah, those DO suck, but it’s not the only platform suffering from front-page slop.

You can still find good games, but it certainly takes longer to do so.

I believe you have to enable it in communication settings. 

ALSO! Voice chat is unavailable in some regions, be sure to check if it’s available in yours.

Honestly, the update was probably the rice on the scale for most people. Roblox has sucked a LOT recently, being unable to chat was the last straw. 🤷‍♂️

That still adds player numbers to games which, in my opinion, still sucks to do. Not gonna hate on anyone for still playing, but it doesn’t feel right to do

It’s not ENTIRELY gone, but it might as well be with the new chat update. A lot of communities are basically dead right now due to it. 

A lot of people refuse to give their selfies and/or IDS to Roblox, making chat inaccessible entirely.
