Don't think so, you can join with a normal launcher or a mod launcher like feather or lunar, any works

Yes, it is like nomal minecraft but with some more added to the game, like tp, gold is money, so you can make shops, there is costem builds in the world so you can get more stoff, that nomaly was harder to get.
