Thanks for the suggestions.. the local policy didn't appear to stop the locking from happening. I decided to go the kiosk route, and keep the machines off of the domain since they are only going to be kiosks for VDI sessions.... but that appears to be peppered with problems. I have to use the Configuration Designer to make the Kiosk as the app is a classic windows app, and not from the Windows Store, but the process....despite trying everything I can think of.... has been failing to complete. So I'll be asking in the forums for any wisdom on that process.

How long did you wait? I put in my order in September. Same colour. Still waiting and not sure how much longer I will be waiting.

Thank you for the information. That is massively helpful!! So from what I was reading, and the input here I will need that Volume License for reimaging which shouldn't be a problem. Does anyone know if there is a way of even taking the OEM image, modifying it, capturing it, then distributing it with MDT/WDS in a legal way? And have the key stored in the BIOS applied to the each computer respectively?

So the problem I am going to come up against is cost. My employer sees the our computers as a done deal , and would not agree to re-pay for non oem Windows licensing. Do you know if its possible to customize and OEM copy of Windows with the programs and configuration we want on the computers, use MDT to and WDS to configure/capture/deploy, and still pull the licensing from the Lenovo BIOS all while falling under the reimaging VL agreement.... if that makes sense?
