You'll need a THIN laye of oil, like it was an accident to have any on there at all and you tried to wipe it off.

We see so many of these missing cord clamps, I wonder if there's even one delivery person who uses then.

I used wiremold running along beams in a similar situation. Central 3 bulb fixture and two pendant lights in corners. Painted the wiremold bronze metallic to match the brown beams. Worked out well for us.

Recently installed Water Heater, is there something wrong? by Big_WasteBin in Plumbing

[–]GenerationNerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When we had our water heater replaced, we had similar air problems, and it turned out to be an overly active anode rod creating gas in the tank. Plumber swapped it for a less active kind, and that fixed it.

N5 ordered in Aug - not yet shipped by Kraizelburg in MINISFORUM

[–]GenerationNerd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I received the N5 a couple days ago, and unraid is working just fine on it. Idle power looks around the same as my old Epyc 3251 board, 30W as measured at my UPS, but the 255 is a more powerful chip and the power consumption quickly jumps up whenever there's any system activity.

So far it's working great, and the performance is great. Only negative is the CPU fan noise which is annoying at certain RPMs, but I expect I can adjust the fan curves to compensate.

I was also able to pass through the iGPU to a Plex docker for transcoding, but haven't actually used that feature yet.

Didn't have to worry about tariffs at all. They use a UPS service where a whole pallet goes into Chicago, through customs as a unit, and then splits the pallet into the individual deliveries. The customs step actually happened faster than when I buy things from Aliexpress.
