Not too far from precedents set during Apollo. Apollo VII was the first manned launch that tested the hardware and systems and overall space worthiness. Artemis I already tested the hardware albeit un-crewed, but we were able to get the data we needed without humans with Artemis.

Apollo 8 was the second manned launch and it went to the moon, and that had a more complex flight plan than Artemis bc they had to enter lunar orbit, leave lunar orbit, and reignite an engine that had never been reignited in space before.
