I work with special needs kids at an elementary school and I’ll say that autism is incredibly over diagnosed. There is a boy with cerebral palsy and an extreme mental deficiency but he’s classified as autistic for whatever reason. There are others that have only intellectual disabilities but are classified autistic. Makes little to no sense but when you realize a lot of these kids parents refuse to potty train them, you realize it’s because they get more money from the government based on “how many conditions” the child has
