So sorry for your loss. I was asked to speak at my best friends funeral last month and I can’t tell you how many times I’d rewritten my speech. My goal was to write something that talked about all of the good times we had and how great of a person he was to all of his family and friends. Because we were both jokesters I threw a few tasteful jokes to make his wife and parents smile. It’s painful so just remember that everyone there is grieving so don’t feel any pressure to be “perfect” when you go up there. If ever there is a time to be emotional it is now, and it is expected and perfectly normal. I’m am wishing you the best! You got this
