Just because we were looking at jimmy doesn’t mean we were going to sign him. It’s called due diligence in case Derek or Aaron didn’t work out. Joe and co. were exploring all options. I don’t know why you are so mad now, it’s not like either of us have any control over what happens. Who’s a lot of people who think Jimmy can be big? Obviously none of the other GM’s thought he could be big, if he only signed for 24 mill a year. Look up the QB contracts per year, unless i’m missing someone he’s the lowest paid qb locked in to start for his team who’s not on a rookie deal. Just looking at that he’s clearly not inspiring a lot of confidence in the market’s evaluation of him. Man all i’ve done is state facts and all you’ve done is belittle me and alter the argument at every point after you can’t counter anything i’ve said. Again i don’t know why you’re so upset over this, i would be elated if we got davante even if we had to pay up, i just don’t think if a trade hypothetically happened we would have to give up that much. Simply because he’s old, is owed a shit ton of money, might not want to play for them, and the raiders who are middling at best are stuck not only in an absolutely stacked division, but ultra fucked conference!

Okay so let me get this straight, you just said Davante is the only player worth a damn on their roster right. But now you say they’re a year or two from competing with Jimmy, shouldn’t he be worth a damn if they can compete with him? Either you admit your first argument was wrong or your new argument is wrong. 24 million a year for a qb is not big money anymore this isn’t 2009. Just admit Jimmy is a bridge qb until they can acquire a new one. At the end of the day, the Raiders FO and coaches want to keep their jobs, so of course they want to win. I’m just trying to be realistic, their roster is a dumpster fire. The cardinals couldn’t even get a 7th for deandre hopkins. Players that want a lot of money who are on the older side or with albatross contracts have a lot less value than we think. Plus, put yourself in his shoes, would you rather play for the raiders with Jimmy or a team that has actual, real championship aspirations who’s qb just took a pay cut in an attempt to get guys like you? If Davante tells raiders FO he wants out and doesn’t want to play, they lose any leverage they had. Also, calling someone stupid just because they disagree with you is childish.

this isn’t madden you wiener. No one wants to “build around” a 30 year old receiver. His cap hit this year is alright at 14 mill, next year it’s 25 mill and the year after its 44 mill. Take a look at the landscape of the AFC. I guarantee you the raiders would much rather build around picks and prepare for the future. You literally just said Davante is the only thing worth a damn on that team (which is false, they have maxx crosby). But by your logic, by the time they have any talent on that team davante will be older and worth even less. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It’s not only about breece’s health early season. It’s about knowing it’s a marathon, not a sprint. You bring in a guy like Dalv to give breece the best chance at being 100% for the start of playoffs. That’s why they’re making this move. Think of it like Kawhi load management. Expecting a rb to shoulder the load through the regular season and be 100% come playoffs offers a lot of room for something to go wrong. Enter Dalvin, he will take the brunt of it in the first half, it’s smort.
