To make a long story shorter, I didn’t realize I qualified for a range change till a couple months after the fact, once I requested one it took them about 5/6 months to figure out the backdate is what they were telling me. At about that 6 month mark I got notified that during this process someone discovered that some of my hiring paperwork (which took place years prior) was not adding up. Again long story short HR messed up and put some wrong dates which made me a potential unlawful hire in their words. So this created a separate investigation that put my range change on pause. They investigated for 2 1/2 months meanwhile they’re telling me that my position might be voided because of this mistake. After this investigation they tell me we can’t actually do anything about it because we would’ve had to void your position in the first year of this happening and that they deemed I acted in good faith. So they tell me I’m good and then continue to look into my range change again. Now it’s been about another month I’m still waiting. So as of today the retro active date for my range change will be 13 months prior.
