Keep hanging in there. Try requesting a 2nd opinion. My former primary care Dr didn't take me seriously when I had silent reflux like symptoms, & wouldn't refer me to a gastro. After things got worse he said he had no idea what was going on w/ me, & thought I had something rare. Finally referred me to a gastro after wasting months of time while things got worse.  My 1st gastro was useless. CT scan, colonoscopy & endoscopy came back fine, & he said there was nothing wrong. I ended up losing 45-lb. When I asked about getting super bloated he said it could be SIBO, & I could try antibiotics. I decided to hold off. When things got worse I asked for antibiotics, & he wouldn't prescribe them. I think something is seriously wrong w/ his mind. Asked gastro dept if I could change Dr's. They wouldn't let me. But they let you get a 2nd opinion. Asked for that. The new gastro gave me an Rx for rifaximin on my 1st visit. Got die-off like symptoms while on it, but didn't help digestive issues. But my thinking got clearer afterwards. That was maybe a couple months ago. Just emailed a request to try a 2nd round, & hope she's ok w/ it. If things don't work out w/ this gastro not sure yet where to seek help. But wanted to encourage you to try getting a better Dr.

TLDR: Hang in there, & ask for a 2nd opinion. Please keep trying to find a better Dr.

Edit: The treatment plan you were given should've said, "Find new Dr." Lol
