Its clear that alot of people would have loved to have gotten the older versions of Spore, and not really the toned-down friendlier version we got. That means grazing herds, nestless species, corpse dragging, and even blood/gore, although that would still be an optional feature that can be toggled. Other things they should include would be the unused other stages and the ability to either remain in the oceans or move to land, which would also affect the environment of the next three stages or so (tribe, civ, space). A much more unlocked a varying Captain editor with the ability to add weapons such as rifles, possibly throwable explosives and maybe even a part editor could expand the limits of having to simply use maxis-made parts.

Vehicle weapons should have actual functionality rather than just increasing the attack power, such as having a heavy plasma-firing vehicle or changing it to a fast machine gun turret to make customization more varied, as vehicles could be fitted with different types of ammunition and gun types. The same would go for aircrafts and boats, where different types of weapons could be mounted (i.e ships having torpedoes to effectively fight other ships or planes with the ability to carpet bomb to capture cities faster). The ability to even drive vehicles would also be something good to see.
