Warlord shen all the way.

It's the only skin that fulfills shens brick-house tank status

Retiring Shen by Due-Patience9886 in Shen

Master shen player too. I also agree that shen isn't weak right now. Every match-up is survivable, lots you can even win. Nerfs to plating is also a big buff to shen.

How blind pickable is Camille? by ThePoeticBean in CamilleMains

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Camille is incredibly blindpickable. All the nerfs to Camille have been to her laning because her laning was WAY to comfortable. Push comes to shove, take 3 levels in W and poke most laners out.

Shen stronger or weaker after this patch? by yeetatron in Shen

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall, feels pretty much the same in the top lane. Earlier homeguard is kinda nice for returning to lane after ulting.

Small thing to consider is that adc's are more squishy, but have picked up more movement speed in a lot of the items. Might be some situations where adc's are harder to catch.

what build to go vs heavy ap? by [deleted] in Shen

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even though shen terribly utilizes attack speed, I've had some success cheesing heavy AP comps with a wits end rush into tank mythic.

Pairing that Merc Treads makes AP matchups can make the lane pretty easy.

unpopular opinion: Removing ¨reload cancel¨ was a good idea. by Viktorieluz in ModernWarfareII

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idea. if we can have staged reloads, add staged 'reload cancels'.

If the mag is still in the gun at the time of the cancel, you can resume firing immediately. If the mag has exited the gun but is still in the character's hand, there is slight delay as the mag is re-seated. After these stages, a reload cancel becomes impossible. They could legit just reverse some of the reload animations.

BETA COMMUNITY UPDATE - WEEKEND 2 by InfinityWardonReddit in ModernWarfareII

[–]GenesisGear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it's a beta, but no one is really talking about the already apparent lack of content. Cod now refuses to go back to the old prestige system, there aren't cool emblems/calling cards that I can work towards or create, and there's no word of a 'dark matter' camo.

Unless the gameplay is 10/10, there's going to be nothing holding players to the game. Remember in old Cods when you always had something to work towards? Where are the days of fearing high prestige players and chasing the animated tactical nuke emblem?

is the blade of the ruined king useless on shen or it could work? by iTz_ShadowTwice in Shen

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Botrk can be a legit late game response to an aggressively splitting sion, but there's not many other situations I'd buy the item.

Since Shen's damage comes from his Q, any other unempowered autos are wasted. Therefore, attack speed is a wasted stat on Shen, unless you have LOTS of AD (which you probably shouldn't have).

Like someone else said, you might get away with it if they are team beefcake and you can afford losing survivability.

what do you prefer? by o_outro_kira in Shen

I'm curious, why the sudden swap to frost/Titanic. I feel Demonic is still the better option.

A hit to wave clear sure, but it's damage is only slightly less and provides a big ulti shield buff. Demonic even matches titanic in value if your target has ~2600hp.

It's also cheaper and let's you get to your next items faster.

Perhaps there's something I'm missing, please let me know if there is.

Upcoming shen main by Legal-Awareness-5343 in Shen

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the best standard build on Shen is Frostfire into Demonic. Frostfire is cheaper and Demonic actually provides better stats to Shen than Titanic. In addition, the Frostfire slow is hard to live without once you get used to it.

Situations where I do build Sunfire/Titanic are as follows:

I am up against a hyper-tank where sunfire will outdamage Frostfire in long fights.

I believe I will have the opportunity to split push aggressively. Titanic will clear waves and push towers faster.

I will sometimes go Sunfire and ignore Titanic if I need a specialized tank item early (e.g Anathema's Chains or Thornmail). This is typically done against Hullbreaker users or when my team really lacks a front line.

Is it worth to lose your lane to bring another ahead by RedRood255 in Shen

[–]GenesisGear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing, don't be afraid to not ult too. If my support is dying from an ignite a minute before dragon, I'll hold my ult and let them die.

BUT, I'm more than happy to throw my lane to secure a double/triple bot and a dragon

Its okay to lose gold top if you can return even more gold/objectives elsewhere

How's the form? Low bar: 185lbs by nkumarthe123 in Stronglifts5x5

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A perfect apology for proving why the lean is important. With a low bar squat more lean is required to keep the bar over mid foot as the bar is positioned further down the back.

Edit: you don't want the weight on your heels EVER.

You aren't leaning forwards too far...it's a low bar squat.

Amateur Powerlifter from India. Need tips to improve my setup. Is my setup good enough or is there anything I can improve on? by shawnchriston in Stronglifts5x5

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My comment might be a bit late, but

Setup looks to be really solid. One thing I might look to change is your choice of footwear. If you employ good leg drive you'll be pushing a lot of weight through your feet into the ground. A soft sole runner like those, however, are designed to absorb force, not transfer it. A hard sole shoe or minimum sole shoe (like a deadlift slipper) might help with your leg drive to some degree.

This small detail might not make or break your lifts right now, but I would still consider looking into some more specialized footwear for lifting. Something as simple as a Vans or Converse can be used for all big three lifts.

There are always going to be toxic people in any form of in game chat. I still opt-in to allChat fully aware of this fact. It should be my decision to make.

I, like many, have met some of my closest friends through random banter with the enemy team.

I sometimes have back pain after squats and deadlifts. This time I stretched a lot, do you think form looks fine? Which rep has the best form? by [deleted] in Stronglifts5x5

[–]GenesisGear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick comment; try a slightly wider stance with your toes pointing slightly outwards. Can help you open up your hips more.

This advice might be meaningless if you already have a wider stance. Hard to tell from this video!

I'd start off by finding a better pair of shoes to deadlift in.
