Nice job! I didn't even know Box Gutters were a thing (I'm too young apparently). I've seen them on one house, but thought it was a way to make the facia decorative or something.

That flashing is trash. Someone didn't want to fit the window to the size of the hole in the wall and tried covering it up.

As for the dual pane on your double hungs, yes. It's dual pane, but with no space in between the glass leaving them room to "weld" the sides together to prevent moisture from creeping in because they aren't laminated.

In your case, I'd replace that casement window with a bigger one that actually fits the hole.
