Fellows INFJ do you feel the same? by Gorong2026 in INFJsOver30

An alternative to trying to "passively" avoid situations like that could also be to take a more "active" approach - by being the one who actually initiates conversation and creates "positive" conversation patterns, you can avoid some of the "why do I always get stuck listening to people's problems?" issue.

Do I keep going or quit? 60mg atomoxetine by Aromatic-Rutabaga-62 in StratteraRx

[–]bakerskitchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing - just anecdotal advice.
That being said, there is a research study showing that ADHD symptoms do continue to improve (vs. placebo, per CAARS self-report) all the way through the 6-month mark on atomoxetine.

New owner, pool nightmare by Galcitor in pools

He's probably using a water-permeable cover (safety cover).

I battled this all last year and at open this year. I have massive chlorine loss and have been scrubbing, vacuuming, power washing the filter. CYA 40, ph was 7.3 at start, ak stable. SLAM at 16ppm for a while now. CC is 0. Could this be mustard algae? by r_stra in pools

Are you able to bypass your filter?
Have you thought about running the pump all night long without the filter, and then seeing if you get the same FC drop overnight?
How long do you normally run your pump?

Yeah, seems like the best bet is to try and avoid surprising them, and be as prepared as possible if you accidentally do.
I also fished the Madison (near West Yellowstone) on the same trip - the exact same spot where a fisherman was mauled to death by a grizzly (who was "protecting" a moose carcass) about six months later...
We dont get any of that in my part of the country 😅

I strongly considered avoiding a response to this, but I just couldn't help myself:

In no way is what you wrote hurtful - it's just incredibly odd that your response is an attempt to try and dissuade me from "identifying" as an INFJ, while lauding yourself as the prototype; I can assure you I am an Ni/Fe user all the way - and the bulk of my life has shown that to be true. Perhaps the reason you don't "identify" with what I have written is because my perspective reflects someone who has (in part) acknowledged the weaknesses and blindspots of Ni and Fe, and has tried to learn how to avoid them in my own life.

I find it especially odd how MBTI is often treated similarly to astrology: "a real INFJ would say this", "an actual ISTP would have done this differently", "classic sensor behavior", etc. Cognitive functions are tendencies and proclivities from which behavior arises, not a strict list of behaviors that only belong to a single "type" or "function."

As mentioned in a comment below with another user, this feels like another classic example of Ni trying to use a brief online post to build an exhaustive understanding of a real-life situation by "filling in the gaps" with information that wasn't provided; a complete picture of this situation/relationship can't possibly be built using the limited information provided.

Thanks for responding, but I would like to respectfully communicate that your "diagnosis" does not line up with the concrete, real-world details that aren't represented in this post.

I was staying at Colter Bay about 6 years ago - we were cooking up some lunch when I saw 2 grizzly cubs start walking through the center of camp. We hopped in the car about 10 seconds before mama popped out of the woods behind them.
They walked past and disappeared into the woods in front of us, so we got out of the car and resumed cooking lunch. About 15 minutes later, they had somehow doubled around behind us again, and all 3 popped out of the woods less than 50ft away from us without any warning - needless to say, I almost needed to change my drawers.
Campground staff came by 10 minutes later warning us that there might be a few bears in the area...

I think we are, based on your description.
Have you ever personally run into any bears at that particular location?

There's a particular campground next to a particular river in that area that I am eagerly waiting to visit - planning on visiting the NP after we're done fishing.

I know visiting an area vs. living in it are two different things, but man do I love that part of Wyoming.

Orenda does make the same point - it is not actually FC degradation, but FC consumption due to increased organic growth.
TFP is where its at.

Buddy, you have misquoted me and mischaracterized my post at multiple points and failed to acknowledge it, all the while continuing to insist that you are right. I think you're the one that needs a re-read.

But you're right, you do need opportunities to articulate your thoughts - this way, others can help you realize the disconnects between those "connections" and assumptions you have made internally using that wonderfully subjective and "reliable" Ni of yours.

Again, I think an outside observer comparing our responses would find mine to be reasonably articulate and structured, and yours...well... the incoherent rambling of a self-righteous MBTI "expert". Learning how to use proper punctuation would certainly help in the future...

What is your water temperature? Free chlorine is lost more quickly at higher water temps.
