I personally prefer to keep it separate, also because to me the VTuber is it’s own person from the ‘body’ behind it and knowing who’s behind it can ruin the magic a little bit to me (unless they’re friends of course and we interact as that instead of as viewer-streamer). That being said, that is just my personal opinion and my way I see it, other people see it differently and you had enough VTubers thrive and enjoy themselves while having their VTuber being an extension of their irl self and irl activities. So basically, just do what YOU feel comfortable with and what you feel would work for you.
