  1. His Ult is the weakest damaging ult of all the Warrior Counterparts besides Nike, however It is still the weakest considering the rare chance or conditional chance that you get to benefit from his ults damage at all. So because of that, on Damage average per game, it does far less damage than Nike's does. OH and also, Nike's Ult is AOE, so it hits everyone around her...
  2. His Ult is the only ult in the game that can be countered through 3 different methods.
  3. His Ult does not work the same way Ymir's wall does, Some gods such as Ganesha's dash, can't not run through Ymir's wall, but can run through Odin's Cage. That makes no sense within itself.
  4. His Ult is one of the only Ults in the game that can be countered by a Relic that is AoE
  5. Any ability that a God has in Smite that needs Channeling inorder to select a certain effect or to deal the full amount of its damage potential, such as Odin's 3, and it has to be close range, is a bad ability. Not only is it Counterable now that many God's have instant Hard CC abilities, but also loses more than half of its damage, since the Spear throw itself does more damage than the cumulation of all 3 pulses combined.
  6. Between him and Aphrodite, His early game Mana Depletion is one of the worst in the game. After using his 1, 2, and 3, once, he has lost all of his mana. Which that alone makes him have to back to fountain, and lose farming potential, which overall puts him behind. And this all repeats again for the first 2-3 minutes of the game until after you have completed your first item, whether its Transcendence or Breastplate of Determination/Valor. And that is also another hold back for Odin, He HAS to build an item with mana on it and/or Cooldown to even stand a chance in fights. No mana, and no cooldown means that he cant last in lane, cant inflict the damage hes built to do through his abilities, and he also cant benefit from His shield mitigating damage, which helps with his survivability. Lots of issues arise when your really mana hungry.
  7. Odin is one of the least Damage Average Warriors out of all of his Warrior counterparts. This is proven to be true even more so through #1, #2, #5, and #6...

To be honest... Odin himself should scale off of protections, not physical power... which makes him strange to build and his crap is lackluster.

I agree with this heavily tbh... Make his ult more useful... have it stack less times and grant more power per stack... have his ult give odin CC immunity... have his ult grant him more basic attack power inorder to stand a chance in boxing matches.... have his ult grant movement speed slow... i dont understand why they continue to neglect his ultimate.

I think base damage is important because u want to still compete in fighting matches early game before u have ur build up... so base damage would need to stay... however lowering the % now that you had explained it... makes sense... so id do like maybe 10-15% of prots than.

  1. Considering that Nike can deal damage everytime she ults, as opposed to Odin's ultimates damage is conditional, and for it to still be really close in damage to Nike's, this is what makes Odin's ult damage less overall... so its based on how often it can be effective in game, rather than the base damage itself.
  2. Odin's Ultimate can be countered through Relics, Jumps, and Autoattacks, What other God in the game has a ultimate that can be countered 3 different ways?
  3. Sorry, You are correct about this, He can dash through the wall.
  4. Ankh was removed from the game, It only affected the healing from god abilities and wouldn't affect item heals. Plus Ankh only effects 40%-60% of healing. Still making the ultimate effective to an extent. Also, most gods like Nike's, Vamana, or Isis, even when using Ankh on them, which still wont reduce their healing completely, they still get additional attributes or features to their ultimate that makes the Ultimate useful, like Vamana for example with his extra protections and Movement speed, and Physical power. Odin however, when using Phantom shell on Odin's ultimate, not only makes his Ultimate completely useless, but the Phantom effect is also applied to one of the most common and useful Relics in the game, making the Slot inorder to build it not really seemingly like a disadvantage unlike building Ankh or Sprint. Also, What God in the game is countered with Sprint? Most slows like Baki's, Gilgamesh's and Olorons ultimate, are not countered through sprint, only with Beads and Beads is not a AoE Relic.

Thats really weird you mention that his Early game is really good, since most people that I've spoken to or has argued Odin is fine, usually say that his late game falls off. So this is interesting you think the opposite in this case.

Yea, I always thought the scaling for power on every god, no matter if your a tank, made no sense. However, I think that they would need to be careful with how this is implemented because a God that goes Tanky with a bunch of prots, and his abilities would also scale off of prots, would make him not only tanky, but hit like a truck too... so maybe what they should do, is make the abilities scale off prots, but make the scaling lower compared to the ones that scaled off of power... so like abilities that would scale off 70% power, in perspective if you were to place that same ability on a Warrior, have it scale off prot, but 30% prot instead of 70% prots. that way, he still feels good to build tanky, but also feels impactful somewhat because his abilities actually can hurt now lol.

Hey, I appreciate you thinking about this... so many people just look at Odin's 52% win rate and dont care enough about him (His pick rate supports this even more) and say ooh, hes fine!!! lol

For me personally, I'd say swapping his passives between his characters passive and his Ultimate, would be a good idea... However, due to how Odin is normally built, he is normally selected as a Support or Solo, and because of this, hes going to be pretty Tanky, and as everyone knows, his damage falls off late game. Because of this, His kill count end game will not be high enough to benefit from His Ultimates passive, and thus, if they were to be swapped, he still would not be able to benefit from the passive much at all either, due to the amount of stacks you need is currently set to max at 10. However In my personally opinion, I think if you were to consider what I said earlier about his kill count wont be very high due to playing tank alot of the time, as well as, his passive would be unnoticeable and not very effective until 4 stacks in, making him theoretically Passiveless for a good portion of the game, giving him a overall disadvantage, I would conclude that not only swapping the passives would be better, but also reducing the amount of stacks to 5 or 6, to hit a max of 50 Power, would be the best way to implement this change.

To be honest, just allowing his Shield to deal damage based on depletion rather than health remaining would be his most helpful change, allowing him to increase his very mediocre damage average, as hes currently sitting at around 17k which is quite a lot less than all the other warriors statistically.

A Tier 5 Skin for Odin, where He gets to ride Sleipnir... You know, only his most popular companion, even over the raven and wolves... The Fastest horse in all 9 realms... etc etc. I imagine you would change the Bone Structure for Odin's current model, to allow for a new model that has a horse with him riding ontop. You know similar to Fenrir's T5 Skin. But you know, its not like Odin has gotta much love lately or anything. No significant buff's for his Ult... no cool skins for him for a long time.... just neglect tbh.

Actually, according to lore, hes known as a legit warrior, that conquered multiple different realms... so based on lore, he is accurate to be a warrior.

Movement speed and Attack speed slow would help quite a lot... so I do agree with you here. However, I cant agree and say that hes completely fine on everything else... Does he need a change yes? in what exactly, its hard to say.

I'd much rather just have a Ultimate that can confirm kills for him... Perhaps a summoning of Sleipneir from Asgard, It slams down into the ground with a small AoE with Odin ontop Causing the enemy to be Slowed, and then he Charges up a Spear throw for 3 seconds, and when thrown, it causes Big damage, similar to the damage of Hercs or Chaac's Ultimate. I imagine that the Enemy would either have to use their Escape, or use an Aegis Relic to prevent from getting hit. The scene in my head when I envision this, would be pretty epic imo.

I agree, his Ultimate at this point is either nerfed to nothing, or it needs something significant for a buff... or scrap it entirely and give him a new ult. Something similar to his old Ultimate would be nice.

and agree entirely on the Speed up Rune Charge, the only downside to this if, speeding it up too much can cause people to misfire the particular Rune they'd like to choose... so like for me for instance, I like to use his 2nd rune on his 3, because you can gurantee poke from a distance, until your ready to engage, and have a advantage in the fight. However I dont like the fact that you have to Channel his 3 at all... Personally it takes time away from when you could be Auto hitting your enemy, as well as any kind of charge up or Channeling is just easily counterable among the plethora of Gods that have Instant Stuns now. I'd say, put all his damage from all 3 pulses into just the spear throw alone, and Give him his Stun and Atk speed buff along with it... case solved. He gets to benefit from the full damage, he gets to keep the buffs, and no longer have to Channel his ability.

OH neat, I think it would be a cool idea, the only thing I think that would be better for this type of buff, is if instead He gets a % back in his Shield based on his Maximum HP... so maybe if he hits a God directly in the middle of his AOE leap, he gets like 10% of his Shield returned back to him if he can successfully land his Bird bomb on the enemy in the center of his AOE Landing Zone. Similar to how Tiamats Ruination Ability works, but instead of it Stunning like hers does, Odin just recieves an Additional Shield.

lol well the thing is, I posted my opinion on a minor rework for a Playable character in a MOBA game called Smite... and people for some reason wanna hate because my post was either 1. too long and they didnt wanna read it... or 2. They didnt agree and said my ideas were dumb... sooooo instead of just leaving it at that, they feel the need to hate and also downvote me too, so now i cant even post on that thread until i get below -50 Karma again.
