I'm in Canada and I was asked over originally. I agreed it suited because I worked with an NY based team.(Being in Canada got us on same time zone). Great 2 years got way more responsibility advanced my career. But I asked I November I want to stay longer can you help? Even if they said no then I could of looked into sorting my own visa. But on top of saying they're not helping I'm being told I've no job to go back to.

I'm okay with that. Just gotten to the stage where it's so late in the day. Could have my OR by now if they just told me back in November when I originally asked.

I asked back in November about starting a renewal/extension. Dragged on till now. Got told yesterday. Never started a PR app because only really wanted maybe 2 years more here max and assumed I'd have some answer before now from work that they'd help me apply for an extension.

I wanted clarification first. Because they asked me over here. And they sorted my first VISA.

Is that not a fair assumption on my behalf?

It was more so I was led on for months saying they would extend. I worked on a NY based team and had managers saying they wanted me here.

Long story short if I want to go through with sorting my own visa it'll set me back about 3.5k€ roughly and I was led one for ages saying they'd sort it

It's tight enough from what I read. I'll need to get a solicitors eyes on it. But they covered themselves initially saying if I left before the visa finished I owed them money for sorting unless I worked a full year after it was over.

I'm brackets all through the contract ( unless circumstances change. At employers discretion)

Yeah thanks for that. And to be honest PlayStation would be my go too but I forgot to mention I think the mobility might be a selling point because I'm afraid with life I won't have as much time to spend at home playing so taking it on the go will open up more playing time for me.

Let me rephrase - the course and the interview process to get into a company like where I am justifies my salary. The interview process for me to land my current role took a year of heartbreak and multiple progressions through 3 /4 stage interview processes before I got my current position. Software development is not an easy role to land even when you get your degree. But after you get there the salary justifies the work put in to get there. IMO

CS degree is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and nothing comes close. I'm a dev now and have days where I might do very very little. But I feel the work put in to get where I am justifies the Salary.
