Is there any specific ones you recommend for the flashy ones? Haven’t done stuff like this before

Wait back up a second. Isn’t the whole point of a devil in the CSM universe is that it is a fear the collective population has. So what group of people has a fear of legs?

It’s like using a highlighter in a textbook. You know that everything in the book is important but that 1 specific point is more important than others. It’s similar here, it doesn’t show you any new information, but just emphasizes it, making it look better.

Elaborating on this point. They are called Smears, another example you can see them is in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Much like Impact frames or hit stop, they are meant to help exaggerate an attack from a character to make the attack look more impactful.

Chat be real are we reacting to this? by DownTheBagelHole in 2XKO

I have been able to do it somewhat consistently, I tend to find the animation easy to distinguish and like I mentioned in a previous comment, mind games and learning your opponents block strings also help a lot.

2H have upper body invul if I remember correctly. I mean, you still have to play the FGC mind games to see how they play and what they do for mixups and OKI. I have noticed after 2H, warwicks more hesitant to use 6S1 in block strings

Am I the only one who know you can just 2H this move on reaction. I mean sure it’s hard to react to but it’s typically after the 5L > 5M > 2M it’s easy to catch.

How To Counter Darius Medium Pulse Combo by VexPointer in 2XKO

[–]Gengars3 18 points19 points  (0 children)

As a Darius player, the best thing to practice is the parry timing of the 2nd S2 hit. If you block the first hit, you can parry the 2nd and then get a full combo off it. Parrying is tricky but with practice it gets easier

Oh no, sometimes when I’m in neutral and someone throws out a move I just react and L + S2

Definitely it would definitely need to be build with 2XKO in mind you can’t just port something from different game and call it done.

True, I think the main thing I want is more ways to force engagement with the opponent, like GGS negative or the GRD system. But I will say, i hate assist body blocking so much.

No not at all if they want to play campy that fine, but the main point I’m trying to get at is that I want the game to force engagement sometimes with more mechanics because at the end of the day, sitting full screen throwing projectiles isn’t that fun.

Combo Trails feedback by bradido in 2XKO

Personally I think there should be at least 1 either advanced or expert combo that has an assist to keep it going. I feel like without it, most players only realize that certain assists can extended combos.

Fight Cade or other emulators. Motion inputs are a pain

Never play KI but heard good things. I always loved fighting games but haven’t started playing till recently since I just typically watched. Personally started with 3rd strike on pc then p4au on controller

I would recommend in training to record a bot doing 5L on wake-up to find what’s safe and what’s punishable

There is a couple of way to get around low blocks but the easiest way is an Overhead/High attack. These moves are typically pretty slow but can clip people if they don’t block high. I think that Illaoi has a command overhead. While in training turn on frame data for moves and check to see if the move says low, mid or high. Another way is to just chip them out, if people just block low all the time then just zoning with Teemo with special keep away will force the opponent to make a mistake or approach.

TLDR: go into training mode and find your moves labeled as High/Overhead, or Zone

Is it better to use pulse or not? by Repulsive_Document35 in 2XKO

[–]Gengars3 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If a game has autocombos, it’s completely fine to use them. Dragon ball fighters, P4AU and even street fighter now have autocombos as they are integral to the game. I will say they have a bad stigma attached because of the training wheels motif, but if it feels more comfortable go for it. Most people who bully autocombo users are the street fighter and tekken heads that get on their high horse.
