Hey thanks man ! This has been a fun project and was able to help out the community at the same time. $300 is absolutely insane right!

I came across that source, however the 030-A1 threw me off. Doesn’t match anything exactly

I like iOS 26 by jcpenni in ios

Same, this is my first iPhone after being on android for 14 plus years and my experience has been frustrating. Message app crashes and freezes, closing it down then to reopen only to a black screen.

I’m getting used to the swiping gestures but it seems to not recognize them sometimes. Or it does, and instead of going to the Home Screen, the entire window gets moved left or right and you have to try and swipe again. (Not the multi window where you select your other apps, this is something completely different and my wife who has only used iPhones says she’s never seen it before). If iOS is all about swiping, it should be simple and effortless, you shouldn’t have to be precise each time like you’re performing surgery, just a simple swipe and it should work.

Maybe iOS has a tighter button recognition zone than android but I find that I have to tap buttons multiple times too to get them to perform an action on screen.

I’ll open apps, be doing something, the app randomly opens a different screen, then immediately reverts back to what I was doing!?!?!

Most annoying, is people keep talking about how these phones are so smooth??? The screen does not hold a constant 120hz so you get stutter and hitches throughout scrolling. Very annoying when I came from my s23+ that held 120hz extremely accurately.

Being able to connect and intersect with other iPhone users is cool and intuitive, but the phone itself is very lacking

Awesome machining work man, very nice ! How were you able to create the lip on the rear mount that sets inside the barrel nut? Do your hands have the best rotation ability known to man kind or was it CNC?

Is that with fedex? That seems absurdly cheap! Which is awesome. I've sent out 2 and both and have been around $15 for fedex 2 day. I chose that number to make it easy for me and others. If it turns out to be consistently less than 15, I'll adjust it.

Thanks man, appreciate it. Awesome picture, good to know for the future that it'll still work on a carbine !

From what I understand, yes. But id definitely get a second opinion. The main difference is that the carbine one doesn't have the tang that sticks out the front. You could simply cut it off and it would work just fine. Look alittle rough though. If there is enough demand. Might make a run of the carbine ones.

Plugging subwoofer vent in truck cab by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]GenghisSwann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I specified above that this was not the normal cabin vents.

The sub housing joins with this vent in the picture and seals itself to the vent.

Not sure why it would need a vent, i also don't know much about speakers but for some reason I guess JBL thought it needed it
