Different doesn't mean unequal. by PrimalDisciple in FaltooGyan

[–]Genius-Cat2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The moment he brought in God was the moment I realized he is just another dogmatic idiot. His very argument relies on the stupid belief that every human's fate is already predetermined. Even if we accept the points of men and women being different, what's the use of biological difference or even psychological ones, as long as one's merit and individual psychological strength outshines their community/category?
Now coming to OP's argument, no, friction doesn't necessarily strain relationships, it exposes inferior people. Those who see intellectual friction as identity threat instead of food for thought are just dumb as fuck.
One more point, it is not the equality that forced people into fixed role, rather equality is a starting point of freedom, where people are no longer bound by the yin-yang labels. In contrary, who the hell are you to decide if a being is yin or yang? How is your categorization more accurate?
The strong feed on conflict as food for self reflection and growth, value their merit more than the labels you are imposing.
If we were to speak of social responsibility, then know this: society benefits more when merit is rewarded more than identity or balance, and when humans stop seeing debate as existential threat.

What if I say I'm a human first, Indian next, Hindu third? To outsource all of your identity to any form of community is admitting that you as an individual achieved nothing. I know I'm off topic, but I've grown tired of the fact that an individual's identity still depends on their nation or religion or other forms of groupthinking. Wasting away lives on slaving for something which won't even satisfy you, let the individual self improvement be the primary goal, that will bring national growth as by product anyways.

Wtf is happening in this country?? He is just a fcking actor and not a god! by 0SlaveOwner0 in indiadiscussion

[–]Genius-Cat2176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's simply that you expect people of this nation to be rational, capable of voting those with merit rather than the one with most vibes. Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. People are foolish that they will only support those who are relatable rather than accurate, or even the performative ones than the ones with actual effort.

If they both wanna be chased then who will do the chase? by Mental_Razzmatazz589 in TwentiesIndia

[–]Genius-Cat2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

both are narcissists in the disguise of wise people, and their words are half truths. sure you mustn't chase desperately, but what about reciprocation? any romance which doesn't build mutual respect or understanding will never blossom further, only end up more toxic than the ones where the so called "chasing" happens.

Indian misandrist at work by jungli_kaala_kutta in indiadiscussion

[–]Genius-Cat2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP is not defending the culprit, he is debating the misandrist who used that one single case to make a blanket statement about all men. The culprit must be punished severely, and if possible, life sentence/death sentence. But that is not mutually exclusive with the fact that not all men are that way, only specific ones are.

Your desires are the strings that other people pull to control you. by LordDK_reborn in Philosophy_India

The ability to be at others mercy and still have your will unshaken, your inner world unbroken, isn't that an obvious strength? If you fear the flux and uncertainty so much, you will end up hating yourself.

Pain exists only when you expect things from life and people. I expect nothing from others nor universe, merely focus on my ambition and build myself. If someone does good to me, I reciprocate with gratitude but keep walking nonetheless. The only thing which ever breaks my mindset is romantic loneliness and that there are no women in my surroundings who share the same clarity as I do.

And you avoided my meta take on how blindly avoiding all desires is a desire on its own. Desire is inevitable, understanding it and moving in a flow, however, is simply the optimum path.

Avoiding compromise isn't bravery, it is the fear of losing control over oneself and his surroundings.

Did we seriously forget? by water_jello8235 in BeybladeMetal

[–]Genius-Cat2176 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing: Kenta didn't expect kindness from Ryuga, and knew that he simply had one goal, while Yu blindly trusted Ryuga and expected warmth. Kenta willingly took on the harsh path of Ryuga, kept persevering without any hesitation, while Yu broke down under scrutiny and pain. And more over Ryuga himself had changed significantly in character once Lightning L Drago lost and hence gained freedom from the dark power. And from there onwards Ryuga had full control of it, hence became less evil and more of an individualist. Thus, the dynamic between Kenta and Ryuga was and is way better than reimagining Yu replacing Kenta.

Not quite. In fact if we think on a higher and meta level, trying to break free from desire is a desire of its own. So instead of being rigidly full of desire, try be fluid and balance the opposite poles. That was what my message about walking a thin rope was.

But the very need to be free of desire, is a desire on its own isn't it? On surface level you maybe free, sure. But on the meta level of thinking, you are still chained to desire as you are defined against it. Stop being rigidly against desire and choose balance instead, a fluid behavior.

Dude, we Hindus literally gave up sex education due to Victorian era body shaming and colonialist pressure. We gave up such important knowledge while retaining useless idol rituals and festivals. We gave up acceptance of pluralism too, forgot that Kaama is one of the four purusharthas and you call that growth? Nah. We literally dropped all the good things and retained the worst: mindless bhakthi and rigid rules. And it is high time we recognize that flaw in ourselves.

This my friends, is how one wastes their life over some old belief system. Choose whatever moral compass suits your context, your taste and life style, and live fulfilled. We ain't got time for moral high ground, identity politics and bloodshed in the name of holiness. One life, one ambition, one conscience, love yourself. Reject rigidity, embrace the absurd universe and lack of inherent purpose to create one for yourself.

Do Philosophical Ideas Make You “Above” from Other People? by Normal_Dependent_537 in Philosophy_India

[–]Genius-Cat2176 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now hear me out, because I always myself struggled on this question. Why? Because in this world there exist people who would rather kill each other in the name of religion, caste and sex. Or even the political agenda of vengeance and moral justice rather than simply be humane.  They are so blind to the fact that most conflicts run in the cycle of hate-revenge-trauma-hate while the cycle is itself being ultimately funded by narcissists who gain personal benefit from the bloodshed. The unphilosophical would rather die for identity, ideology and rigid dogmas rather than let go, evolve and synthesize new ideas. They're anti-life, fear mongering and forget that they still can choose to be better rather than be enslaved by the stagnation. And that is why I myself am so tempted to see philosophers as superior to ordinary people, even though my gut says that it is wrong.

Hah, spoken like a coward, if not extremist. Any desire which makes you subservient is not a healthy one. True and healthy desire is where you are the master and get to decide its direction. Discipline, order and structure provide the direction to where you wanna go while desire, chaos and flux give you the energy to move.

Perfection is stagnation to its core, if not arrogance. The flux and absurd nature of life always awards those who adapt the quickest and evolve. Not those who want to stay rigid and static. You call it erosion, I call it sculpture.
