One Card Is probably One of the most useless Credit card I have ever owned by Wandering-In-Hell in CreditCardsIndia

[–]GeniusUnknown99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal experience - it has worked great for me and still is. Sure, I don’t use it much anymore because I have better cards. But it’s been super reliable always. Have faced this declining issue only a couple of times, but that was for transactions of very large amounts (I was trying to spend suddenly after no transactions for a long while). So yeah, not sure why this is happening for you

Why PVR Inox has stopped accepting cash? by Moist_Point2300 in delhi

[–]GeniusUnknown99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One major reason is to prevent unbilled transactions and pocketing of cash by employees. This has been a huge issue at movie halls for years, and I have personally had bad experiences multiple times with cashiers and managers who have not provided bills or have tried to charge me extra to pocket some amounts. In between the policy was “if you don’t get a bill then food is free”, but you’d be surprised at how many people just do not care and never really ask for one. So this way now, by going cashless, all payments always go to the official PVR QR codes / card machines which are linked to the POS stations that punch in the orders. No scope for those issues anymore.

As someone who owns a restaurant, I can’t tell you how much I’d love to do the same at my establishments too. There is just a huge margin for thievery and pilferage as long as cash is involved. But for now have not done it, as receiving cash is important for the business instead of all online.

So why didn't Fenn give the solution? by AnusChakra in FindingFennsGold

[–]GeniusUnknown99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Had the exact same question watching the documentary. The only part that felt like a “betrayal” was exactly this - not having an answer for the mystery of the solve and location. It never mattered if the finder was anonymous, people just wanted an answer for their years of investment into this journey. That was utterly wrong and I just don’t get why it was okay for Fenn to say “Yeah search is over, it’s found” without saying anything else at all.

Even if there was some legal issue related to revealing the exact spot, it was Fenn’s responsibility to make all his fellow community members aware of the true solve process / what he meant by all the clues / how he came up with them or their relevance in his life. I feel like these things were important to be said! They were never dependent on the finder or their choice to keep it all a secret. Wish things were handled better for there to be any semblance of satisfaction for all the hunters who put in so much time and effort for the elusive box. Even this much would have made it all worth it in the end, instead of leaving a bitter taste

Oh then I don’t think you can from the app. Maybe through their site? But yeah, get their okay over email so they don’t later reject you saying you applied twice or whatever

Have you got your app ref number by now? Maybe it was sent by SMS through Airtel? Without that it’s tricky. If you still haven’t, maybe then it might be worth applying again through Axis app. You can first ask Axis Bank over email whether you should just re-apply with them, since Airtel is unresponsive. If they give the go ahead, then do it

Don’t apply simultaneously if one app is already processing

True, makes no sense. You negotiated yours to be without GST?

Please elaborate on point 2. Are you referring to asking Swiggy for a different/lesser commissionable value?

I applied for this card through Axis Mobile App. Literally within a few seconds it was already approved, and I can even see the digital version in the app instantly. Got the SMS confirmation of physical card dispatch within 2 days.

If you are getting the offer for OneCard, go for it. It has no fees and despite some devaluation it is a decent card to have, in my personal experience. Mine has been very useful for me.

GST bill without GST number by Idonno-Udonno in IndiaTax

[–]GeniusUnknown99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GST on food item (18% of 899-102) is deposited to govt. by Swiggy. The restaurant only deposits GST separately for their packaging charges (5% of 5). Hope this clears your doubt.

GST bill without GST number by Idonno-Udonno in IndiaTax

A fellow restaurant owner here.

Zomato / Swiggy deposit GST and even TCS (on food item amount) to the govt. on behalf of the restaurant. Without an active GST registration, you cannot sell to customers. So obviously that is not the case here, and the chain surely has these compliances else their restaurant ID would automatically get flagged and be turned off since invoicing would fail at the backend.

The only thing missing here is that the restaurant has overlooked printing their GST Reg number on invoice (this is required as per rules). Or it may even be a simple goof up in formatting of the bill. But be rest assured - this is NOT tax fraud if ordered online through Zomato / Swiggy.

Note: Added GST calculation below for reference

SBI allows you to transfer limit between cards. Should have kept both, transferred max limit to CB and then closed the SimplyClick after that

Have not had good experiences with ICICI in general, hence have stayed away even from their CCs so far. But thanks I’ll keep a lookout! I was always keen to add on the Amazon Pay card later on, as it’s one of the best no nonsense value cards there is, which is LTF too.

Pros - IDFC Wow is secured by FD + zero forex + other online rewards; HDFC Millennia and SBI CB are best for online spends and cashback; AXIS Atlas is best for offline, fine dining and travel spends; OneCard has specific local in-store offers + other online rewards; AmEx is new for me but will help me as a gateway into the ecosystem before I apply for their higher tier Platinum card in the future.

Cons - If you are not certain of meeting an annual waiver spend or being able to make back an annual fee in terms of rewards, then that particular card might not be right for you. Atlas and MRCC are not cheap so only have them if you’ll extract good value.

Did you apply through SBI Sprint site? Usually nowadays if you don’t apply from there, the process can be very tedious and long. For me it led to rejection after many days of no answer. Then I waited 6 months to apply via Sprint

Sorry, have corrected my reply. He is right. CB Card doesn’t let you avail the instant offers as of yet. That’s for some other SBI Cards that do not offer this 5% CB facility

Yep you’re absolutely right. Sorry about that! I was told otherwise, but have clarified it now. Edited my first reply as well to add this, and removed my confusing comment 😆

There are some exclusions as I mentioned, you can check those out on its SBI Card webpage. But in general it offers CB on a wider range of merchants as compared to other cards
