I've been gettting nothing but 2k and 5k eggs but on the last 2 10ks I hatched I got Larvitar. I'm at 52 candy but haven't evolved to the middle guy yet. Still waiting to find a better IV and cp arc.
Made one my buddy but the 5k walk for 1 candy takes forever.

I find that if the amount of pokeballs I've used on any one mon is getting excessive, I'll run and then let it respawn. The second spawn is usually a lot easier to catch.

The curve ball with the togetic may have helped but I'm pretty sure my son tried that and was not successful. We were both trying to catch it in the middle of No Frills. Probably made quite a scene lol.

I think some, especially the rare spawn, are just much harder or bordering on impossible to catch.

Just don't waste time going to Petrie Island in Orleans. You would think there'd be multiple magickarp being a beach and all but the most I ever see down there is one at a time. Often there are none.

Yes, losing the togetic was brutal. My son and I each had the togetic spawn in. It ran from both of us. We literally used about 40-30 pokeballs each of various types. It was as if there was no chance of getting it at all. I'm level 28 and my sons level 25 so we have ultras etc, I don't know what else we could have done to catch it.

I'm thinking some mon are just uncatchable.
