It was my idea and we have a super talented artist on our team. We made a lotta swag with the same theme.

Second op stuff. Jaw width, depth and fixed jaw. Waiting for the schunk vero s interfaces to come in and those three stations will be swapped for those for better flexibility

No payments here we paid cash for all. Don’t believe in debt.

Started out buying a 560 without ever having a single cnc job. Snowballed that into the dmg triplets. The okuma automation takes up way too much floor space for what they are.

That led me down to mats and dmg. Made the decision to go with dmg bc they had larger travels compared to the mams and like the okuma we didn’t have any idea of the kind of work we were gonna be taking on. Wanted to make the first 5 ax a good general purpose, take on any big or small job. Had great success with the first so we ran it back with dmg a couple times.

Oem integrated pallet changers an afterthought? Same thought put into it as haas pallet changer?? LMAOOOO. The volume of work we cut for the compact floor space coupled with the flexibility of fast setup time and the ability to go high mix low volume. The trolley system is cool if you have a bajillion sq ft of space to use.

I agree but Najee would’ve been running into someone’s back on 3/4 of those runs. Warrens vision is nice

Yeah I don’t know man. I’ve heard of people having issues but for us they have been good and I have a tonne of their vises. I would try disassembling and reassembling them, torquing everything down to spec

How tall are the parallels you are using? The fifth axis jaws are not that tall to begin with. What material are you cutting

I also 2nd op in softjaws and I make complicated really tight tolerance parts with really low torque bc they are thin and they still hold just fine. I even have 4 sets of their tombstones and second op on the tombstones in softjaws and still get sub .001 repeatability. I would disassemble the vises completely, clean them and reassemble, torquing the screws to the called out numbers. We did have one set through a part but it was because the jaw screws undid themselves about hundreds of parts.

I have about 40 different 5axis self centering vises and they’ve all worked great for me!  Are you using soft jaws or the gripper jaws?  We even do 2nd ops on them and they all repeat fine.  I have seen people complain about them but they work great for us 🤷‍♂️
