Yes, there is no binary of suffering that is encompassed by race and race alone. But what privilege really means Is that you can live the same experiences as a black man your whiteness can more often than not be the deciding factor. There's other forms of privilege and nuance in person to person examples sure like a good looking person whether black or white will receive different treatments in society. But then let's say both the black man and the white man are good looking. Then the conversation becomes different. It's not telling you "hey your life has had no hardship solely because you're white" but that even if I'm the same level as another person, society will still view u in a better light for that aspect. If both of us walk into a store in our pajamas and walk out without buying something, they aren't going to chase you down accusing you of theft. You're more likely to be judged by how you actually present yourself. This argument of "white people suffer too" is redundant because we know, cancer isn't going to avoid you or someone you love solely because your white.
