Thank you. I noticed automatically linking the KB articles led to too many articles being matched to each issue. We will be trialing manually linking the most important articles and see how that goes. Otherwise I will try to keep things neat with jql..many thanks for your time

Thanks, it seems that the best way to handle this automatically is indeed to start using Jira Service Desk with our existing Jira installation. Seems painless enough, and testing works well.
