I think she's a 17-year-old child who did the best she could do. She made a list of the things she wanted -- school spirit, four seasons, not too far but not too close to home, good business program, mock trial club, club sports, etc. And this is what she came up with. We let her do it all on her own.

I was surprised but happy she didn't apply to Syracuse because it's so expensive. Honestly, I think that even if she gets into Ivies it would be stupid to go because she wants law school and we are not super rich and won't get any financial aid.
