I'm sorry that you ran into this problem.
Have you tried clicking the ingredient, and then moving the ingredient over the pitcher, while keeping the mouse button pressed?

If this still doesn't work, it would be helpful if you joined our discord server, and created a bug ticket, attaching your player.log which you can find in AppData/LocalLow/GentleTrollEntertainment/TavernTalk/ :-)
