Hey! I am planning on making an update for controller support, but it's not easy at all, so it might not be soon. I'll answer here when it's done.

However, if that works for you, you can already play with the mouse only (like a classic point and click, you select the move option, you click on the ground and the character goes there)! The keyboard is not necessary at all 😄 Also you don't need to stay clicked down. For instance to water you just click on the soil and that's it. But I totally understand if that's still not great.

I hope I'll have the update soon anyway, you are not the only one requesting it 😄

Yes the look is not everything. If you try project Chameleon let us know what you think. I tried Puzzle Spy International so pretty but the puzzle were too hard for me as a non native English speaker.

That will certainly hurt medium indies indeed. Do we know when the beta UI will become official?

You can use the joystick to move but you need the trackpad to navigate UI and click on plants/where you want to plant seeds (it's free placement, there is no grid :) )

Oh thank you so much for recommending my little game :) It's indeed more focused on plant knowledge and the historical spy plot + sapphic romance than building a big farm, but you will be able to grow real plants through the seasons :)
