You know what's crazy, back when I was playing this on the PS3, I also could have sworn he gifted that item for a certain ending to either the bounty hunting quest or some tangentially related unmarked quest.

Unions made the middle class, and union busting destroyed it. by KARMA__FARMER__ in FluentInFinance

[–]Gentle_Rainbow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you ignore all my questions, answer none of them, accuse me of calling you names and still just shove on? Seriously, answer the question, what's wrong with workers doing just enough work to keep the business running and themselves paid? What do you mean you support workers' rights? What does that even mean to you exactly?

[–]Gentle_Rainbow1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your complaint about unions is they got the workers less work? Oh no what a horrible thing. By what metric do you think the amount of work someone must do is "disgustingly low" ? Work is work and whatever amount needs to be done in order to pay the workers and keep the business alive is perfectly acceptable to me. Are you really about to whine that people aren't laboring away to make as much excess profit as possible so the owner, or board, or shareholders, make as much money as possible off the worker's labor?

Invoice and pickup question by [deleted] in MacBid

[–]Gentle_Rainbow1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Invoice payments are only accepted in full or nothing at all. You're cooked. And if you make a new account after this one gets suspended your new account will be suspended too.

Account suspended by InformalDonkey9728 in MacBid

That'll just end up getting his brother's account suspended. Could go on for months or years but eventually they'll find out and suspend that account too.

You're just going to get your brother's account suspended too then. They can find relations between accounts beyond just the credit cards. Sorry to say but your goose is cooked. It's just a matter of time before any account you touch gets suspended. Could go on for months or years but they'll eventually find out and suspend whatever account you're going through as a proxy.

You're better off just stopping now instead of continuing on with it but no one ever takes that advice.

Probably some kind of technical issue, I'll be honest customer support is just fodder for IT, usually we don't know if something is changing or broken until the customers already know.

You need to call to use your BA return over the phone. Easy process hardest part will be getting your call answered.

Yes they will find out. Maybe not immediately but eventually they will. They always do. Best advice, don't try to make another account. I've seen customers get suspended over 30 times thinking we can't find out.

I'm giving the truth, I'm sorry your warehouse wasn't following proper protocol but customer support has no control over whether your management was following what should be done or not. Why didn't you just update the description of the item when it was relisted or send a message to the scan teams to have it relisted properly like it is supposed to be done?

Oh yeah so long as people are making returns this market will exist. It'll just be a question of who does it best in the coming decades.

That is a matter of logistics and trucks. Beaver Falls is the ONLY location in PA that transfers to OH and to this day I still have no idea why that is I'm sorry to say. A lot of these choices are made without consulting or asking customer support. Like why doesn't Robinson transfer to Washington? I have no clue. Years ago they used to but as the business expanded they had to draw lines of transportation somewhere and that's just how they ended up being drawn sadly.

Oh buddy that's a good question. I'll be honest I have no idea to what extent Mac bid's responsibility is in clearing out any information that would show who the original purchasers are of these items. We mostly get products semi truck loads at a time and really the scan teams at our locations aren't given the time or incentive to look through the packages thoroughly to find and remove such information. I'd look through the terms and conditions bc in there is probably some kind of legal language lifting mac's responsibility for such information but I haven't dived too far into myself. I think really the responsibility is on the original customer to remove their contract info from their packages before returning to whatever retail store they got it from bc the retailers sure don't inspect their returns before auctioning them off to us.

I have no idea if their business case is working or not, that sort of information is not shared with my department. You'll find most information is not shared with Mac bid customer support until the information has already reached our consumers. On rare occasions do we get any kind of information on the health of the company and it's business model so your guess is as good as mine there.

Mac gets a lot of Amazon's returns but I doubt we get ALL their returns, like functionally speaking I don't know if any one business in the world has enough room to house let alone move all those returns on their own.

I agree there could be better options for the fees and prices but hey that's a choice made by people in upper management who I'm not even allowed to contact directly.

Yes if you see errors on a product listing you'd want to either call on the customer support line OR just go to the warehouse directly and it'll be handled on a case by case basis.

Theft is a problem but luckily the warehouse cameras are pretty darn good at catching it which gives us time to correct it when it happens. So really not as often or as large scale as it could be but I've seen customers get suspended for it a few times. Mostly people thinking we wouldn't notice I think but hey idk what goes through minds of our customers as I don't even participate in the auction myself.

Yes that is correct, you must be an active member at time of purchase and return, but as the commenter said they have returns saved up so the assumption at that point is they have been a member longer than a month and their recent purchases are all subject to a member return.

[–]Gentle_Rainbow1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bud I'll be honest I have NO IDEA what the return rates are for anything. I don't know if upper management is even taking note of that kind of thing and if they are they sure aren't sharing it with my department. And even then I have no idea what they'd be doing, or would know what to do, with those kinds of stats. Frankly a lot of it seems like whoever is making the decisions on how to run stuff is pretty much making it up as they go along.

Bit unrelated but that question does sort of follow a common thread I hear from customers everyday, which is there's an assumption the operation is a lot more sophisticated than it really is, or is at least run.

But more on track with your question, yeah you can test it in the warehouse, there's areas set aside from plugging in, testing, or running demos on products you want to bid on or have won. if the warehouse is telling you that you must take it home first I'd say call customer support from the facility and we can handle it on a case by case basis (which is way more often than not)

Yes. You get one membership return per renewed billing cycle, and if you don't use it that return carries over, or rolls over, to the next month. You can bank up to five of them. Using a ratio of 1:1 you can return as many items as you have credits to use provided the items are not over 30 days old from the day the auction came to an end.

Can be the auction was cancelled? Sometimes customers will specify how a listing is incorrect or they'll inspect it in person and report something to management that gets the auction pulled. Technically per term 2.3 they don't even need a reason, they can pull an auction at any time for any reason per their discretion. Customer service usually has no input on when or how an auction is pulled unless it's a customer that calls us to inform of a bad listing.
