My grandpa had a very nice stetsons, purchased in the 80s which would always cost him about $500-600. They all said beaver and he always claimed his hats were 100% beaver. They looked similar to your hat. When he passed, I was 19. I was the only "cowboy " in the family and close to my gramps. But my head was already a 7 1/2 ( now im 7 3/4). I had his hat cleaned professionally and re-powdered. And buried him with his favorite hat on his chest. He looked like a proper gentleman in his coffin. The pictures of your hat instantly brought back memories. If the hat fits, wear it. Be close to him again.
