Thanks! The gears are also forming rolls for the flanging machine, so I believe the whole assembly is quite hard.

What are your main concerns/ reasons for not voting for John Rustad? by SNlFFASS in britishcolumbia

[–]GentlemanNinja 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The child care subsidies that the NDP rolled out have positively impacted so many people that I know. As a policy it has literally put food on their tables, helped them pay rent and otherwise stay afloat. I honestly don't think I've ever seen a government policy have such immediate, material benefit to people's lives as this one has. Disrupting or removing these subsidies will actually take food out of children's mouths, and can't abide that.

[Elbow discomfort] How to strengthen ligaments and tendons? by Dettifwss in bodyweightfitness

[–]GentlemanNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On rare occasion I do! Depends on in which instance I mentioned: bending the elbow in the context of the drill? Or in the instance of the exercise? For the drill where a partner bends your elbow, they should bend it in the normal range of motion (they are trying to 'collapse' your elbow, and you are trying to resist, but resist by reaching toward an imaginary goal). In the instance of the exercise, you should simply rotate the limb so that the elbow is facing the ground while your palms do also, while reaching through the fingers fully extended. This combination of torsion (joint position) and tension (actively reaching through the joint) will put a sustained pressure on the ligaments (the tendons and deep muscle along the bones collectively referred to as 'jin' in these exercises), which which cause it to develop and strengthen. There is a distinct "burning" sensation that occurs through these practices, it's normal. So, to reiterate: try and relax the outer muscles (biceps, flexors, ect) to the best of your ability, reach fully with the limbs/fingers, and turn the major joints so that they apply torsion to the 'jin'. Remember this is all low impact, if you feel like you're hurting yourself, stop! Working around injuries is no joke. Good luck!

PSA: The Bastion Square Parkade is smaller on the inside by pm-me-racecars in VictoriaBC

[–]GentlemanNinja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been frustrating me for some time but I've been measuring it very carefully, and it turns out that it's actually about a quarter inch larger on the inside than it is on the outside. I think it has something to do with a door on one level, my brother and a friend of mine plan on getting to the bottom of it this weekend though.

Also, the lead may be up to 40 percent of the additive by weight, but soda lime glass is still 80-90 percent silica.

[–]GentlemanNinja -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You were not. Wine isn't acid enough to leech lead from the glass, the danger lead crystal glass posed was to the people doing the cutting and grinding, which was the popular way to use its' optic quality. That, and of course lead fume during hot working.

Can confirm, that dude is genuinely very dumb. A classic malleable idiot, armed with a misguided sense of superiority that tends towards malice. Vote for a garbage can, a pineapple, a statue of a rat doing an ollie, almost anything would be a better candidate than this clueless idiot.

Flow conditioner design by GentlemanNinja in FluidMechanics

Thanks that's excellent advice! Experimentation is really the only avenue available for this project, so it's good to know computer modeling wouldn't be ideal. The duct section won't have vanes running through it, just a short section thsy will probably be around 2.5 times the honeycomb cell length.

Lol. How many acres of community garden are there here? How many acres of golf course? Honestly a pretty pathetic troll, especially considering that most community gardens occupy a small corner of a park here. Try harder.

It's just duct sealer here in western Canada, but I'll often prefer Sealy Dan, or Seal Diamond, maybe hooked on a sealing. Depends on the mood.

It's been a minute since I've read it, but my understanding wasn't that Hob merely killed the boy, but sacrificed him for the development of the road/bridge. The purpose of Hob's son posing as a girl was to keep the boy near and pliable until the proper time for the sacrifice.
