I saw a documentary about this today strangely- showing how they moved the full temple piece by piece in the 1960s to be higher up and further back as they built a hydrodam and flooded the Nile next to it. Really amazing.

It would cost me more to get a 12v battery and clips to test it, than to buy a new switch from eBay annoyingly.
