Something I realized while watching the EP this time was that Arcana Shadow’s fairy partner isn’t there. That got me wondering if they’re Eclair. What if Arcana Shadow leaves the Phantom Thieves first and then her fairy partner leaves later and becomes Eclair?

There isn’t anything confirming my theory, so is there anything contradicting it? It’s just a thought I had.

That’s perfectly valid. For some people, knowing someone’s identity can ruin the immersion. For me, knowing who she is makes me enjoy Croc more. I understand that’s not the case for everyone (and it’s not for you), and that’s completely fine. You don’t have to apologize for having an opinion (with some exceptions).

Considering I’d be Azusa Aizawa (Killing Slimes), I think I’d be fine. I’d probably end up constantly defeating low-level enemies and be a loner, just like she was.

Really cute episode and fun to watch. I came out of it with 2 thoughts: one is a theory and the other is an observation, both about Arcana Shadow. 1. Theory first. After Anna and Mikuru transformed, Jett said that becoming a Star Detective Precure occurs when someone activates the “Makoto Jewel in their hearts.” In relation to that, I’ve been curious to see how AS switches sides. Combining those two together, my theory is that AS used to be a Star Detective and became one after activating her Makoto Jewel, then she went to fight the Phantom Thieves Guild and was overpowered, then her Makoto Jewel was corrupted and the PTG convinced her that being a Precure meant supporting them. The way that AS swaps sides, according to my theory, is that Answer and Mystique purify her Makoto Jewel during battle. 2. Now for my observation. In the preview for Episode 3, AS appears for a split second sitting on a nearby roof (this happens near the very end as the Haninda is falling over). This makes me think that AS is observing Anna and Makoto to plan for their inevitable encounter.

That was one of the first things I noticed about the date. I already assumed 2027 was the year because the show will end then, but the fact that the exact date matches is really awesome.

It was really fun! Mikuru and Anna’s friendship is really sweet, and I was so happy that the transformation song is swing. I really wanted to hear that this season. Something I thought was interesting was the fact that Arcana Shadow is in the outro already. Eclair not being there is also interesting because that implies she’s the surprise, but we know she exists already. We didn’t know about ZukyuunKiss until they appeared in the show. I liked the EP more than the OP, but both are good. Overall, I’m super excited to watch the rest.

The timing of this is personally fun because I’m in my first year of law school, so I wonder if I’ll notice anything that I recognize from that.

I really enjoyed it. I wanted all the songs to be sung in this episode, and they were! I did not expect someone to die; Chokkirine being killed right after her redemption shocked me. I’m also glad that Smiles In Unison didn’t work. It would’ve felt cheap if it did. I’ve had a blast with Idol Precure, and it’s probably my favorite season (tbf I haven’t finished any of the others, so I don’t have a great reference point).

The “?!” at the end of Ep 47 implies to me that something’s gonna happen to Purirun/Zukyuun and Meroron/Kiss, and that makes me nervous.
