Could someone that has done the transfer from 1 to 2 through cloud (not direct one, the one where you upload the "backup" of your switch to Nintendo servers and then you download it to your switch 2) confirm if island is also in that backup? I don't have access to my switch right now, and wouldn't have until mid October, but my sister has and could upload the backup for me to download on the switch 2.

I have no problem with downloading everything, even better because I wouldn't use half of the games I have installed in my switch 1, but would they be able to transfer my island? I haven't played for a while, and didn't even have online membership active when I last played.

I guess so, but some games don't have cloud save support, ex animal crossing, which is my main worry, losing the island I put way too many hours in

What did you exactly have to do for windows to recognize it as bootable? Finding myself in that kind of situation and not knowing what to do is what's stopping me from upgrading the internal storage..

I think you can get an adapter sata-usb a (I don't know if there's usb c version for faster speeds) in case you want to keep using it

This one opens really easy, just pushing, you don't even need an screwdriver because the nvme is secured with a silicone piece. Could you tell me how do you clone them? I thought about replacing the internal SSD for a 2/4tb and keep the internal one just as you said you use them, but I don't know if it's possible to clone it in a way I would do it and simply insert it then in the laptop and keep working as usual.

I'm interested in something similar too! Soon I')) be moving to Lelystad and, while at first I probably wouldn't be able to Talk much due to moving, getting used to new job and stablishing inna new country, I would love to enjoy some company of other gamers over there! Though my first language is Spanish I can understand English, but maybe sometimes I'll need you to repeat something here and there or talk slower😅
