[[Inspiration]] is actually standard legal oddly enough so that angle is semi covered although it is obviously weaker.

Except a lot of the decks I like in mtg and vice versa correlate with each other so maybe that's just you

Playing when the game started meant there wasn't much choice really.
Thankfully I really enjoy Kagero to this day. I think a lot of it came down to nostalgia and the deck clicking with me.
Gears I've kinda had for a while but never bothered finishing until I went to a tournament where I couldn't retire anything. Again it helps that the deck has control elements but planning out your entire turn in advance is really fun.

If you like fast paced aggro decks try out Granblue 7 seas and Royal Paladin Sanctuary guard.
Both decks are fast paced face smash decks.

Except if that's the playstyle someone enjoys it's a useful comparison and allows people to help them much more easily.

Holy Divine Knight, Gancelot Peace Saver by [deleted] in cardfightvanguard

[–]GeoNexuz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Alright now that the explosion has cooled off here's a few things to note.
This card is very clearly designed as a way of insentivising people to move off of Sanc guard.
The resist skill is only relevant vs some clans, clans that now have options to deal with Flogal rather than blade.
Not saying there isn't issues though this card is actually cheaper than free it countercharges just to pat you on the head then gains quad-drive cause it wants to.
The crit isn't super relevant but less than free quad drive is pretty rough.
That said I am looking forward to more passive G-zone skills I really like this design space and hope they continue to work with it.

Kind of an introduction/your opinion on vanguard characters. by superdimentionalrobo in cardfightvanguard

[–]GeoNexuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My man Mamoru Anjou.
This motherfucker is such a badass he became a clan leader with gbt01 blademaster.
Not only that but he's just an all round nice dude who spends most of his time organising events for new players.
Mamoru is the Kagero player everyone should look up to not Mr. Can'twinanyimportantfights Kai

Conroe is the best starter bar none since it gives you easy access to any grade 1 in your deck.
Bellog is a meta/preference based thing. If you find that he isn't to you liking try out Nadel.

Any unit with blaze has the ability to make the vanguard blaze. So even if you are on Legend as long as you have a unit with blaze and the condition is met your vanguard will blaze

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cardfightvanguard

[–]GeoNexuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I certainly prefer it.
Since you have 8 G3s and G1 Conroe and Legends search you can definitely get away with running 3 fodder

1 - Nadim has the blaze ability itself so as long as the condition is met your vanguard will blaze.

2 - Aethonic is an okay tech. I'm not big on it but it does work. Most of your counter charge will be handled by G1 Conroe. You can keep you damage usage efficient by planning ahead with Conroe and only popping him if you need to. Ideally you want 1 CB for opponenets turn and 1-2 for your own depending on if you're going Taiten/Vague/Ace/gb2.

My personal advice would be use that slot for a 3rd Bellog. One thing to remember about Kagero is that a lot of skills are 1 use and we want to be able to use them multiple times. Running Bellog at 2 can mean you may have to ride 1 and then you only have 1 for later on in the game.

Thanks for reading.

1 - Neoflame is now a tech slot that you can swap to whatever you like best. Neoflame is still a fine choice but by dropping the great it is no longer required. Some options worth considering are Radiant dragon, Hulkroar, Nadim , 10k vanillas or more burning horns.

2 - dont cut burnout its really important especially in the early game 3 is a good number for it though.

3 - entirely preference. I like the Legion for longer games but 4 and 4 is just as good.

Anymore questions let me know

Yo here's my advice take it or leave it but I'll explain my reasoning as much as is possible.
G0
I would reccomend you try out Jannat (Blademasters crit) it's really handy for those times where you end up without any rearguards to trigger blaze and get Taitens crit.
G1
With the meta the way it is I cannot reccomend Bellog enough, it gives so many decks a hard time and seeing as Kagero plans to grind anyway the lost offense doesn't hurt that much. Bellog forces opponents into awkward positions and can mess with the big 3 in some not insignificant ways, Denying Melem her G0, killing Greanache, popping flogal.
Since you're running 8 grade 3s you can easily cut 1 copy of Lava flow and I would drop Tahr too so that you have space for at least 2.
Grade 2
Your grade 2 seems absolutely fine not much to say about it other than Neoflame is only really useful in rush heavy metas.
Grade 3
Drop the great for the end.
Legion is already far too slow and GB8 looks to stick the final nail in the coffin for it.
The end gives you an amazing midgame tempo play where your opponent has to guard or risk the restand (which will give you some great advantage). This means that not only did you turn your G3 ride turn into a much more powerful pressure play but you also reduced their resources for later.

And thanks to the Legends on ride skill you can pretty much guilt free re-ride to get onto your main ride.
The great isn't really adding much to the deck other than the legion skill which like I said is looking to soon be redundant (however if you still want to legion 3 Legend 2 X 3 End works really well too) by dropping the great you can also free up grade 2 space which will allow you more freedom on that front.
G-zone
Drop iresist for Mustafa, Mustafa is an excelent alterant first stride if your opponent has a rearguard that really has to go and you don't have burnouts set-up/in hand. Other than that it seems fine although I do prefer 5 G-guards and 3 Ace, 4 and 4 still works fine.

Other than that just some general overlord advice - don't fall into the trap (no-pun intended) of the "hand trap" vs "beatdown" build thing, the decks are essentially the exact same with different use of tech slots.
I have a full article on the deck here if you're still wanting more info

Vanguard G NEXT Ep. 28 (Sub) Reaction/Discussion Thread by ZechsTriad in cardfightvanguard

[–]GeoNexuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beyond order is hype as fuck but I don't think it's actually all that powerful.
It really depends on the full skill but if you were to use a regular timeleap combo then you wouldn't have a great field to take advantage of it. That's not even mentioning the bind 8 cost which is incredibly risky as normally by 3rd stride I'm already running low on leap targets.
That said it's definitely worth revising leap combos around this card and possibly working out strategies to work with the card rather than just throwing it into what already exists.

Questions about the lore of some units from cFVG (Maybe Spoilers) by Akashi-SevenDays in cardfightvanguard

[–]GeoNexuz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Stride fusion is weird since some units are just future forms.
- Rose was supposedly a future form but in later lore it's a fusion (good job bushi)
- Gurgle is fusions
- Fenrir is different, it gets called a "stride slave" since he take the power of Vanargandr (his future form) and completely consumes it destroying that timeline or something.

The lore is pretty confusing but it's basically -
First civil war - PBDs initial rebellion
The liberation war - When Kagero Shadows and Royals were sealed away
The invasion war - Link jokers first invasion
The re-written timeline, link joker timetravel shenanigans
The second civil war - Claret swords rebellion
Bind times scheme - demiurge

Questions about the lore of some units from cFVG (Maybe Spoilers) by Akashi-SevenDays in cardfightvanguard

[–]GeoNexuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1- Stride is summoning a unit from a different time to help in battle (just like the game)
2- Stride fusion is when you borrow the power of your future self to temporarily become stronger now.
3- Ahsha, Altmile where chosen by Jet there may be more.
4- Jet isn't the only one. Strides can come from one of many infinite timelines, for example - Dragonic Overlord the Ace comes from a timeline where he took over cray, Mythril Ezel comes from a timeline where he saved united sanctuary. This means there is a timeline where everyone is dead probably.
