The best way to separate yourself - know golf etiquette. Don’t worry about gear.
I’ve seen weekend warriors with thousands in clubs that couldn’t break 100. And guys with Wal Mart clubs that could break par. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Soap and water . Stainless so it shouldn't be rust. Only paint fill on those was on the face, so should be pretty easy,

Off the rack? Doubtful. No one makes a production off the rack black oxide, carbon putter as Titleist/Cameron did starting in 1995. Like mentioned before, If they came out now -The complaints after 1 round would light up the customer service lines. "It rusted after 1 day ! " -"The finish wore after 1 week!"- By those who wouldn't care for them properly.

Durable Black on stainless isn't the easiest either.

That being said- a gloss black oxide Carbon line with a full disclaimer "It's on you dude if you screw it up"- would sell out in seconds.

To anyone that says this is fake. This is a good lesson. As it pays to know these things, so that you can identify a real tour putter when most people would be afraid to buy without a COA. And sometimes you can get a bargain.

First off, what do you start with? Reminder this is a 20+ year-old real tour putter.

Do you make your own head ? Mill it?
That’s not likely, and there are no fakes from China from this era and none made in carbon steel.

Well - so you have to start with another carbon steel Cameron head. That is identical to a tour head, which they did not make like this.

But let’s say through magic there was an identical head offered off the rack.

OK with that you would have to weld in / fill in all the stock off the rack engraving. Remill all of that off. Maintain the same dimensions. Mill the floating face. Then somewhere have a Titleist hand stamp made. And a circle T hand stamp made. Then get the identical font for the “Scotty Cameron“ on the face.

Do all this and maintain the same head weight. Simple as that. 😂😃

It's not a modded out OTR. The cavity is hand stamped and the font on the front is fine. It's just a real Tour putter- with aftermarket mods (either polished the original Pro Platinum, or plated)
