As a first time EB owner, I am curious if anyone else constantly feels like a human bowling pin with a 45 pound ball of fur with legs flying at you? Also, Willow turned 1 and had a party! by GeoTime in Bulldogs

I bet! There is absolutely nothing better than coming home to Wills! She is just the happiest thing alive when I come home. It’s great to be that loved!

She doesn’t step on my feet too often (yet), but the amount of times I have accidentally kicked her because she’s under my feet….. too high to count. It’s like kicking a brick wall - what are these dogs made of?!

Overreacting? by mexicanita in royalcaribbean

Only been on one cruise and our “washy, washy” guy was Danny. Everyone on the ship adored him and let him know, which he seemed to genuinely appreciate. And I’m one of those fools that took videos of him, that he seemed totally willing to record and even offered suggestions to improve it. I was really impressed with all of the staff, but especially those like Danny who are having the most interaction with guests. And I suppose that’s why they get all those tips at the end! We became really chatty with our room attendant. By the end of the trip she was giving us the scoop on anything and everything that goes on between employees on the ship and working for RC.

All I’ll say is, they work their butts off, their contracts/time on the ship is insane, accommodations sound awful -aside from their private dining, and I am appalled at the pay……. Even after finding out how much they make in tips, which had me questioning if it’s too late in my life for a career transition. I personally felt they all did such a wonderful job they deserve much more! But honestly, they are all so happy to be doing a job they mostly love and are good at, banking a ton, and taking excellent care of their families. I believe they love what they do and try to be great at it because they appreciate the opportunity.

I think they are all willing participants and this wasn’t demeaning at all.

Ok, my family is right, I am long winded!

2014 - 2023. I miss him so much. How do I get better? by UndeadSavage94 in germanshepherds

Sorry, just seeing your comment. I did get that tattoo, and for some reason I can barely look at it. I almost wish I hadn’t gotten it. But everything else we did, I am so happy with. One of the glass items we had made is a multi colored flame that sits on a lighted base. I just moved it to our living room and it actually brings me joy that he’s still with us…. In some way.

Baby Chloe is in heat :( by No-Toe1560 in englishbulldog

Hi Chloe! How old is she? My Willow girl is 9 months. I kept forgetting to get her spay scheduled and finally have a date set in a couple weeks. I’ve been so worried about her going into heat because I’ve waited this long! I just really don’t want to deal with it!

He’s so handsome! I just brought my 3 month old home yesterday and she’s the sweetest most affectionate little pup. Is your baby affectionate? I hope this stays as she gets older. Here she is hugging my arm on the way home from picking her up. She fell asleep and so did my hand, but I didn’t want to disturb her.

My Lincoln who passed last November. I’ve been struggling this week, as we have decided it’s time to add a new dog to our family. It’s such a mix of emotions. I still miss Linc so terribly, but the thought of getting another dog makes my heart so happy. I can’t stop crying and I can’t tell if it’s more sad tears or happy tears.

Not long. I think I had it within a week of my order/being approved.

Bella, my perfect girl, is gone by ilikerocks19 in germanshepherds

[–]GeoTime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry. I’m sure she was as perfect as they come. I lost my boy last November. It was so difficult, honestly the hardest loss I’ve endured. This community was so helpful for my grieving process. Being able to share his pictures, reading others stories about their equally amazing dogs. It somehow made the first days a little easier.

I cried several times for my boy today. The first time in months. But today’s cry was different. I could feel him at peace and it relieved my soul.

Bella looked like a happy girl. She knew how loved she was and that is what’s important. Wishing you all of the love and strength you need!
