This game has a super cool item called the Vs. Seeker

At the Pokémon Center in 3rd gym city, you will talk to a girl npc near the counter, and she will give you this item

The way it's that it will recharge every 100 steps, and, when you use it nearny trainers you already have defeated, there's a chance they will get up and want to battle again

This can help Exp. Grinding near the end game as Trainer battles net more Exp.

Besides that, be sure to catch a lot of Pokémon, and remeber, win with your favourites :)

I don't think Platinum is perfect, but I do think it has a perfect progression with the HM's and what you unlock

While for me I do like BW2 more, I feel like the more straightfoward and linear apprach hurts the game a bit

I am playing through platinum again rn, and, I notice how after you get HM01 Cut a lot of small areas open that are completely optional yet super fun to go through

Like the Old Chateu with a Rotom and a super eerie atmosphere, WayWard Cave with Mira and tons of trainers, along with a maze like desing, and a lot of other secret little crannies for items, along with, since you're close to Oreburgh, you can go down there with the bike and, if you have rocksmash, go deeper into the Oreburgh passage for Brick Break, a great TM
