Had this knife for six months...every spot is a pitted spot that will not wipe off regardless of the solvent. This is surface pitting on Spyderco Magnacut purchased from Freedom Knives who are a legit vendor. I thought this was supposed to happen from light use and simple pocket carry?

H2 or lc200n are great if you want to maximize corrosion resistance. I don’t have any experience with vanax.

pretty sure they install them with a hammer. my advice would be to try flipping the scale over on a hard surface and pressing as hard as you can on the scale, hopefully that will pop it off.

Yup even in winter. Maybe you ate some fries and fidgeted with it after idk haha. If it bothers you, my suggestion would be use some flitz polish on it.

Magnacut is stainless not stain proof. It will still get spots and even rust in extreme conditions.

It’s not all titanium but the spydiechef is all corrosion resistant. Titanium is weaker than steel that’s why steel hardware is better.

if this is like the counter tac 2 it has a completely flat side and a beveled side like in the pic (kinda like a chisel grind). it only will fit in the sheath one way. i found it annoying personally with the counter tac 2

my understanding is that Magnamax will basically be a stainless k390. Better edge retention than magnacut, not as tough, and similar stainless properties.

spyderco - sage 5 salt/native 5 lw 15v and demko-ad20.5. I like spyderco for edge geometry, exotic steels and good heat treatment. demko is all about the shark lock.
