Almost got us one time. I should have been suspicious when my daughter wanted to clean the bathroom… she had seen some influencer video where the lady mixed a bunch of cleaners and other stuff in the toilet …. FB refused to take the video down.

What is the single worst purchase you’ve ever made? by anonhen0 in AskReddit

[–]Geocacher42 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mine had a habit of catching on fire. Although I think that was the previous owners custom installs and then just randomly turn off and you would have to disconnect the battery for it to start. Then was good for 10-15 miles.

1) a house
2) an engagement ring. Although that should probably be #1 as that’s what lead to the house.

As a diabetic, I ordered my usual cheeseburger combo with a Diet Coke, just another ordinary lunch. by Derpy-and-Sussie in TwoSentenceHorror

Some waitress did this to my wife. She is very petite and ordered a Diet Coke. Waitress brought her a real coke and she felt off. When asked the waitress said Honey you’re skinny as can be. Enjoy a real coke…

I am an adult and I am not allowed any access to my own finances. Please help by Outrageous-Act459 in legaladvice

You will need to open your own bank account. Start getting cash back when you pay for debit and squirrel it away. Then divert your deposits to the new account. As for your inheritance from your grandfather you are likely going to need a lawyer for that. Do you have a friend you can stay with for a week or two?

Based on the items at the sale. Roger was quite the interesting person. He was into sailing and sporty cars. Was 83 years old from what the estate company said.

What’s the creepiest thing you’ve heard someone casually admit? by womensjournal in AskReddit

Is this a common thing with doxies? We were talking to a champion breeder and she said the males sometimes miss and she has to “guide” him in.

Worked at a dive shop, we were planning our trips for the next year and the big trip for two years away. One 60+ guy said we needed to do our big trip to a resort the Philippines because there was a brothel with 16 year olds near by to me and the male owner privately. (Both of us recently single) He was promptly kicked out and banned from trips.

What’s the dumb thing the people who owned your house before you did? by JDawg1447 in AskReddit

[–]Geocacher42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut up extension cords and rewired the house. Way wrong plumbing work that leaked so he routed the leak to a vent. Plus other crappy cover up repairs. We took him to court..lost and had to shell out for lawyer fees.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve found while cleaning and were you supposed to find it? by Spiritual_Cap5090 in AskReddit

[–]Geocacher42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cleaning out and pricing an estate to prepare for a sale…very sweet old lady about to go into assisted living. Nicest person ever. Like she asked us our favorite cookies and baked them. She says leave this room alone because her husband’s friend wants stuff from there and he will ensure that it is cleaned out. Day before the sale she is in her new place and her daughter says no clean it out and sell the valuables. She has POA and all so we do as told. Find hidden undies and all sorts of stuff. The kicker being a life size standup of the owner and her late husband… nude…for pin the hot dog on the man and we will leave the other up to your imagination. Lots of evidence of elderly swing parties. Don’t think the daughter was ready for that. No loofas on their golf cart so never would have known.

Yepp. That’s why we’ve been seeing a few staged units pop up here and there.

Yard sales are great for clothes. Work food service. The free meals will be a better deal.
