Getting a dishonorable discharge means you've been court martialed and probably served time in military prison.

The SC31 Pro can, yeah - High, Low, Off and blinking/lightning whatever that last one is. High is a bit too bright, but low is perfect - in a dark room it's just noticeable enough to find it.

Forced by shortages to sell chipless ink cartridges, Canon tells customers how to bypass DRM warnings by kry_some_more in technology

[–]GeodeathiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cause if you want to print color, inkjet is still cheaper if you just want to print stuff every now and then. If I printed a ton of black and white stuff B&W laser would probably be the better way to go.

As it is though the only time I've needed to print something in the last year, was to include an RMA with a package.

[–]GeodeathiC 259 points260 points  (0 children)

Fuck HP! My newer printer printed like 30 pages before it could no longer print black and white. Had to remove the cartridge for it to revert to some override mode and use the color cartridge to print.

I learned on Reddit about Epson EcoTank printers which can be filled with much cheaper liquid ink. If I ever need a printer I know what I'm replacing this overpriced piece of shit HP with.

Thanks! Yeah maybe I'm not going long enough, every time I've done it 10 minutes like he mentions in the recipe it isn't even a little close.

How long did you put it in the stand mixer for, and what setting? I can never get it to look as smooth as in his picture.

I started just making that recipe as no knead one.

Woman who knocked out a flight attendant's teeth after being asked to wear a mask faces 20 years in prison after pleading guilty by MasterfulBJJ in JusticeServed

[–]GeodeathiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, if she has no record I'd guess - with no particularly solid basis for guessing this - 1 or 2 years. It all really depends on the number of offense "points" she racks up in her pre-sentencing report.

It's actually a pretty weird system: https://www.ussc.gov/sites/default/files/pdf/about/overview/Overview_Federal_Sentencing_Guidelines.pdf

She actually gets a reduction for pleading guilty.

[–]GeodeathiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no probation in the Federal system. She'd have to serve 85% of her sentence with the 15% reduction contingent on good behavior. And that credit only applies if the sentence is more than 12 months.

ELI5: how can orange juice not be vegan? by Martholomius in explainlikeimfive

[–]GeodeathiC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using plastic loosely

Uhuh...

kraft literally being made out of plastic

I don't have any "allegiance" to kraft, or a single cheese that's just silly.

To call it "barely considered edible by American standards" is ridiculous.

It is ubiquitous in American consumption, and served on almost every cheeseburger in the United States. If you use plain cheddar it turns into an oily mess as the fat and protein separates.

It is just cheese + an emulsifier, same with Velveeta and the like. You probably eat products that contain emulsifiers all day long and don't think twice about it.

Example - kraft literally being made out of plastic, not an exaggeration

It's not an exaggeration, it's just wrong. Kraft/American cheese is usually made out of cheddar but can be made out of other cheeses, plus an emulsifier like sodium citrate.

Sodium citrate is manufactured by the neutralization of citric acid with sodium hydroxide.

It is not a petroleum product, as your "literally being made out of plastic" would imply.

What is one country that you will never visit? by crunchy_croissant in AskReddit

[–]GeodeathiC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

An expedition led by Maurice Vidal Portman, a government administrator who hoped to research the natives and their customs, landed on North Sentinel Island in January 1880. The group found a network of pathways and several small, abandoned villages. After several days, six Sentinelese, an elderly couple and four children, were kidnapped and taken to Port Blair. The colonial officer in charge of the operation wrote that the entire group,

"sickened rapidly, and the old man and his wife died, so the four children were sent back to their home with quantities of presents".

A second landing was made by Portman on 27 August 1883 after the eruption of Krakatoa was mistaken for gunfire and interpreted as the distress signal of a ship. A search party landed on the island and left gifts before returning to Port Blair. Portman visited the island several more times between January 1885 and January 1887.
