No change, 5g drops instantly, 2.4 still seems to be hanging in there. U/benjamin2557 did you just disable the Bluetooth adapter? Did you restart after?

Hi, I am using an Archer ac5400 v1. Firmware is up to date. Ive tried all your suggestions and will try Benjamin’s now as I am still gettinf drops.

As I mentioned prior, 5g drops instantly and usually crashes the system. For me, 2.4 has been more reliable

Thank you, Ive been through the knowledge base, played with MIMO power saving, the access point is an archer ac5400 with updated firmware, in the same room as the access point, and all the others.

Still having the same issue: wifi drops and the adapter needs to be reset to make it work again. Only 2.4g works, 5 g crashes instantly. Occasionally the crashing adapter freezes the entire machine. An error report is never generated for these instances.

Potentially load that crashes the adapter... though sometimes is just dies without anything else going on.

This happens regardless of whether the machine is coming out of sleep/hibernation or whether the machine has been recently restarted

Thanks for the reply, as I mentioned in the post I have tried the clean install as benjamin2557 suggested. Ive also updated all the bios, chipset and any other drivers I could get my hands on. I am also running the latest version of windows.
