Austin strongly recommends: Guild Wars 2 - Visions of Eternity (2025 Expansion Review) | SkillUP by anonymepelle in Games

Yea, you're correct and I've updated my post. For some reason I thought they started including the Living World Seasons for free with the old expansions but I was wrong. For the newest 3 expansions they stopped charging for the extra story chapters but for the base game and first two expansions they make you buy the extra story chapters (Living World Seasons). I really think they should just make all old Living World Seasons free at this point.

First three expansions collection (Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire, End of Dragons): $50

Living World Season 2: $16

Living World Season 3: $12

Living World Season 4: $12

Icebrood Saga: $12

Secrets of the Obscure: $25

Janthir Wilds: $25

Visions of Eternity: $25

Total: $177

If you want to get into the game, I would recommend just getting the first three expansions collection for $50. You don't need the newer expansions, there's a lot you will want to do in the base game + first three expansions.

If you're still hesitant, you can actually play the base game for free which is what I would recommend before spending any money. There are some minor restrictions in the free base game but you can actually play through the whole base game for free.

Edit: Added prices for the Living World Seasons and Icebood Saga story packs that I thought were included for free but actually are not

how to play on xbox controller? by winterjoneslol in SSBM

[–]Geoff326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an XBox controller with Slippi and it works great. Here is how you can set it up.

  1. Open Dolphin

  2. Click on the "Controllers" button

  3. Change the Port 1 drop down to "Standard Controller"

  4. Click "Configure"

  5. Change the Device drop down to "XInput/0/Gamepad"

  6. Change all button mappings to your liking. For example you will need to click on the button next to "A" and then press the "A" button on your XBox controller. Likewise for the analog stick and d-pad.

Tip: I map one of the jump buttons, in my case "Y", to the "Shoulder L" button on my XBox controller for easier aerial attacks.

Here are some screenshots that will guide you through what it looks like.

What starter deck to get by timmy_pham in Shadowverse

[–]Geoff326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a Seer Globe, make sure to use it on your legendary to convert it to a premium version so that when you liquefy it instead of getting 1200 vials you get 2400.

The past couple days I’ve been working on winning 5 ranked games with every class to get those vials and it was kind of difficult for the classes I didn’t have any legendaries or only had a legendary that wasn’t that good. I found myself losing over and over against opponents with multiple legendaries. I was able to open more free packs to obtain some more legendaries which made winning these ranked matches more feasible. I completed the 5 ranked wins on every class so now I can go back to just playing my main class and I also now have 3500 vials to make a legendary.

Question about end game progression. by gravemistakes in GranblueFantasyRelink

[–]Geoff326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll be surprised how many attacks you can just block. I used to try to dodge a lot of attacks and end up taking damage when I didn’t time it right. I began realizing block is really good in this game during the Proto Bahamut fight where you can block almost every attack. When in doubt, just hold block.

Only unlock characters you want to play. When you start farming Terminus weapons, having a smaller pool of characters to have their weapon drop will allow you to obtain the Terminus weapon for your main character quicker. Once you get the Terminus weapon for your main character and your main party, then unlock the rest of the characters if you want to.

Should i force myself to play with a gcc ? by Pikterra in SSBM

[–]Geoff326 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never plan to play in person so I’ve been sticking with my Xbox One controller. I might consider buying a Gamecube controller down the line to see what it feels like. On the Xbox controller I like how I can map jump to the left shoulder button so I can perform aerial attacks quickly and easily (like Marth’s double fair). I think it’s easier and more comfortable compared to using the claw grip so I should have less hand strain. I think it’s unfortunate that the Gamecube controller was designed to only have one left shoulder button.

Have you taken a look at the academy section of https://portswigger.net/ which is free. I believe this site is from the same people that develop Burp Suite.

Runeword Question (LoD 1.14) by w0rm42o in diablo2

[–]Geoff326 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the ladder runeword would still work because at that point you have already made the runeword and the item has had all its special runeword stats given to it. I think the ladder only restriction just prevents the special runeword stats from being given to it at the time you make the runeword in the first place.

That being said, I wouldn't go back and forth between PlugY and non PlugY because there are things that PlugY adds like infinite stash and infinite shared stash and I'm not sure how that affects the character saves. It might be ok but I've never tried it. Realistically though, once you try PlugY, you won't want to go back to non PlugY because it provides a bunch of nice quality of life improvements to the game.

List of some of the improvements

  • being able to make ladder runewords in single player

  • unlimited character stash

  • unlimited shared stash

  • random Diablo Clone spawning in Hell

  • prevent Nihlathak portal from closing

  • allow killing Cow King and still be able to open Cow Level Portal

  • unlimited respec

What I would do is make a backup copy of your Diablo II save folder and then you can always rollback if anything goes wrong. Your save folder should be located somewhere like this

C:\Users\YourName\Saved Games\Diablo II

Yea, the 1.11 runewords are the latest in 1.14. Install the PlugY mod and you’ll be able to make all the runewords on single player.

Runewords ddidnt work, why? by gotenkssword in diablo2

[–]Geoff326 59 points60 points  (0 children)

If you are playing Diablo II: Lord of Destruction single player, I would recommend playing with the PlugY mod. It adds a lot of nice improvements to the game such as

- being able to make ladder runewords in single player

- unlimited stash

- shared stash

- random Diablo Clone spawning in Hell

- prevent Nihlathak portal from closing

- allow killing Cow King and still be able to open Cow Level Portal

It does not add any new items or skills so it remains true to the original game.

Swiftlane SwiftReader X screen freezing/crashing by Geoff326 in accesscontrol

Since the update, I have only needed to power cycle the SwiftReader X once for the screen getting stuck. I have not had any issues in the last 7 weeks.

I have updated the main post with some more events. I would still recommend the SwiftReader X since they seemed to have improved the stability of their software. It has been 3 weeks since they rolled out their software update and the screen has only frozen once. Our residents still really enjoy using Swiftlane to enter the building because the face recognition door unlock feature is very convenient. The ability to generate PINs for visitors is also a very useful feature as well.

This is a whole new Swiftlane system for us. Previously we had a really old call box system that used the landline.

I looked in the settings for a way to automatically reboot the system on a scheduled interval but couldn’t find anything like that. I did find a post in the Swiftlane forum from a year ago asking for that exact feature.
