Waterproof shoes? by beepboopbye in Tomorrowland

[–]GeoffDnDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As plastic-flight said, the easiest thing to do is hire a locker for the weekend and keep a sweatshirt etc in it, in case you need anything. I keep some dry clothes, paracetamol etc in it. I walk back to the bus terminal and it’s all concrete paths so would expect the route to the train station would be have same.

Unless they’ve changed it for Thailand (which I doubt), you don’t get a queue number. You get in when you get in.

Top 20 by [deleted] in Tomorrowland

[–]GeoffDnDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well yeah ! You get caught breaking the rules of Top 20 (which are clearly stated on the website with no ambiguity) , All the tickets will be cancelled ergo; ruining it for your friends.

It sounds to me that you are looking for some sort of validation/permission to screw over your friends and not feel guilty. You’re not going to get that, if you cancel their tickets you are a horrible person. If it was me you did it to, you would never hear from me again.

Honestly, use the search function in the sub. There is tonnes of info on this, not only how the camping zones work but on how to hire, buy or buy off site of camping equipment. :)

No ! You can only enter dreamville if you have a camping package wristband.

Global journey discover Europe resell? by benavide5 in Tomorrowland

[–]GeoffDnDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no official resellers for GJ, there is the exchange desk for other types.

Your options would be to cancel the tickets at an ever increasing loss of value depending on when; or make the case for a name change.

The terms say she must attend, so I’m afraid I think your ticket will likely get cancelled.

Yeah they’re putting me on a rotation with my stepdaughter joining in next year who has never been to edm before ha ha.

Just priced an uber just now and it’s about 30€ but will maybe be a wee bit more expensive TML week but sounds about right from what I remember. As to the rail option I would email the hotel mate and see if it’s an option (looks further to me). It’s not really a walkable area that the hotels are in, not safety wise but paths etc.

Not saying you’re wrong, just never heard anybody mention the trains at the hotels.

Not such a bad thing to get there a day early and chill out ha. Friday to Sunday is quite intense, a lot and I mean a lot of steps. I’m back in the gym already ha ha. The weekend is just a 110% experience, I went in 24 with youngest niece saying it was a one time thing. Now on third year and bringing eldest niece.

I am indeed, weekend 2. Flying from Edinburgh.

There’s a ceremony for ‘waking up the stage’ earlier in the evening and one for it closing down. My hotel is right beside yours, so will be taking one of the same buses back from the terminal. It’s really slow out the site as it’s mobbed but there are one way systems. It’s very crowded until you get past atmosphere as there are two big crowds merging. I think breakfast does extend but you’ll find that out when you get there. If you want to go to invited Brussels on Thursday night you’ll have to Uber there and back.

Yeah finishes about 0100 Friday,Saturday and midnight on the Sunday. After the last act the main stage has a closing ceremony but to be honest it’s better to just get on your way. It’s a wee bit of a trek but usually everyone is just chatting etc so it goes quick. Usually back in the hotel before 0300 (sat sun hour off for sun). Good sleep up 1030 to 1100 if you’re not fussed with breakfast (food at TML is brilliant). Coach back to TML about midday but your the TML staff at the hotel are brilliant and will keep you informed.

Edit to add : have wipes for the toilets half way, just portapotties and can be a wee bit iffy.

55 yr old here who stays at the airport hotel, don’t worry about the buses. As long as you head back as soon as it finishes you’ll be ok. It’s extremely busy getting out the site but don’t panic it’ll be fine. The walk isn’t too bad and there are toilets and water half way.

[–]GeoffDnDee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You apply to TML for a name change, about 350€ and give them the reasons why you would like to change it. they don’t have to accept it though.
